CONFRONTATION WAS A REMINDER TO EACH ARGUMENT WITH HIS MOTHER, THE SAME PERSKN HE HAS NO IDEA WHETHER HE HAS KILLED HER OR NOT SO INSTEAD OF BEING OPEN TO IT HE IMMEDIATELY HIDES AND REDIRECTS RESPONSIBILITY CAUSE HE HAS NO IDEA HOW TO HANDLE THE SITUATION AT HAND

NO WONDER CAINE GOT REDEEMED EASIER

Not least if a person so deeply mistreated acts like this, you MIGHT be dealing with a Jax and its hard to figure what to do with that person but if you are being LIKE Jax? This could be where it ends up. and you will NOT like it.

But it doesn't HAVE to be that way. Out of the YEARS of life Leroy lived only a fraction unhoused and was able to find his tribe, a job, and gather himself up to act and explore (until word of author, I assumed ANY queer aspect was Jax suppressing, and Leroy seems not to have changed pronouns but is coming to a queer friendly space and such people)

Except Caine is made to learn. His coding as an AI is literally to absorb information and utilize that. The void scene with him ascending higher and higher, showing he can't fight the walls with aggression, taught him how to handle humans and how what he did limited them.

Considering that the brain scans keep them in the state they first arrived, I have the assumption that it's much harder (as a human) to develop in the circus. Therefore, Jax was still in the state he was not short after the incident with his mother for years. He was still that kid who experienced emotional unavailability and impossible standards by his parents.
