Indigenous people, animals and nature are screaming in pain for help

The Victorian Planing Minister has denied the Djab Wurrung Embassy's application for protection. The Djab Wurrung warriors who are bravely fighting to protect their centuries old birthing trees are now unprotected by the law. The government and police are preparing for another attempt to evict these people from their own land, this time with tanks.

If you are able to make your way to the Djab Wurrung Embassy now or in the coming days, do it. Drop your weekend plans, instead invite your friends to come defend this sacred land, these sacred trees and your fellow humans who are being threatened with terrible violence for fighting for what has always been theirs.

If you can't be there physically, fight just as fiercely from wherever you are. It can't be understated how important it is that the world doesn't ignore this. Share what is happening on as many platforms as you can, keep checking for updates and share those too. Use the hashtag #notreesnotreaty. Keep telling people to show up at the embassy and fight for justice for the Djab Wurrung people. Start by rebloging this post.

The Djab Wurrung are Indigenous Australians who are protesting the destruction of sacred trees as quoted from their website “These beautiful trees include an 800 year old tree that has seen over 50 generations born inside of a hollow in her trunk and a 350 year old directions tree that has been shaped and resembles a Woman. This area is part of the song line, the series of scared trees and artefacts we find here regularly prove it’s significance.” Which the reason they want to destroy these trees that are SACRED and are a vital part of the Djab Wurrung is to build a stupid highway.
