I know that “fwiw” means “for what it’s worth.” I know that. But every time I read it, my brain translates it to “fwom what I wemembew”
well personally I think that the USA's actions towards japan during and after WW2 was genocidal too and it brings home the point that the Western colonial powers also saw asians as subhumans and acted as such even as they fought against Japanese imperialism but apparently seeing the racism in how white ppl acted towards even the Evil Asians (tm) is neonazism
after dropping both of the worst weapons that causes literal generational harm in all of human history upon a people that's never been used in war again: if you talk about this in catastrophic terms that it deserves to be talked about you're one of the worst reactionaries on this planet.
ramen, as we understand the food form, was created because the USA enaged a starvation campaign via control of food supply upon a populace that had already unconditionally surrendered due to the aforementioned weapon but sure there was no state-led policy of killing off the people who had no intention of fighting back.
the only reason you'd defend the USA occupational force's treatment of the Japanese people is if you believe in collective punishment (in it of itself a genocide tactic) but, well, as someone who's not a frothing at their mouth racist, I just do not believe in genocidal justifications for a genocide tactic!
I do feel the need to point out, the US dropped nukes on a country that was already ready to surrender because Japan knew at the time that they couldnt actually fight off both a USSR and US invasion and wanted to surrender to the US becuase they felt it preferable to surrendering to the soviets. And that the target of the US nukes were on purely civilian targets.
While we are at it I need nonblack people to stop saying “YN” and “🥷🏾” just to get around saying antiblack racial slurs. Yes that includes that stupid shit where white people go “ooh but I said nega not-“ I don’t give a shit. You know damn well what you meant. Fuck off. It’s a insta block from me for anyone who does this shit and think it’s funny or whatever don’t pmo.
And before someone fucking says “erm are you referring to the fanfic / shipping term? How is your name offen-“ obviously no I’m not referring to that and anyone who is using it to mean “your name” types it with a slash -> (y/n) *NOT* “yn”. Like. I need nonblacks to stop randomly regurgitating aave they see or hear without knowing what it fucking means and misusing it to hell and back thinking it’s cool/ trendy/ or something worthy of mockery. It means young nigga. Stop fucking using it if you’re not black lol
People wanna pretend it was all in good fun and only got racist afterwards (if they'll even acknowledge it ever was racist) meanwhile some of the earliest TikTok making clanker jokes were skits that were just "racist dad hates his daughter's black boyfriend" only the boyfriend is a robot instead, and before that, these exact same kinds of jokes were circulating the Star Wars fandom for over a decade
They want all the "fun" of being blatantly racist and provocative, but don't want any of the reactions you'd get from someone watching you being blatantly racist
its really convenient that the normal reaction to being violated and scrutinized and disbelieved for a sustained period of time is to just lose the ability to maintain consideration and cautiousness with one's words. i bet making a woman go fucking insane and pretending it happened for no reason feels soooo good when you're a man
you owe all transfems abnormal grace and 900 dollars.

watching someone start reblogging transmisandry bullshit is like seeing them get hacked by a scambot. will you stop.. for me
when people say misandry or androphobia or whatever aren't real they aren't being pedantic about your language. believing misandry is real is ideological poison. the second you attribute the real oppression you face to some "anti-male prejudice" you have given up your ability to understand and fight the actual power structures causing it. any bit of time and energy you spend arguing that women don't have it as bad as they say they do is time and energy you aren't spending on anything actually productive. wake up
Death and the maiden (but the maiden is into it)
okay how do you emotionally handle the fact that you're never going to have regular physical contact with the people you love without uprooting your entire life to move to a different country, and then even still they're scattered all over the planet so you still have to pick and choose
i wish the world was smallerrrrr
like honestly the idea i'd ever have that in me to begin with is pure fantasy to begin with, so we're picking the least good option where i stay alone forever by default.
i don't like thinking about the future i've decided
I'm forest: no want cigarette
no longer in forest: want cigarette

I read the article "Do Trans Men Experience Womanhood" by Alexander Avila (who I used to be a fan of on YouTube a couple of years ago), and while I thought it was, like ... fine, I guess... I felt like he didn't really engage with the main issue at all.
He claims to be a believer in the idea that the way you describe your own identity has no impact on the legitimacy of other people's identities. I can't believe someone as clearly thoughtful as him genuinely believes this, there is such an obvious counterexample in the "biologically female" identity which is distressingly popular, and obviously is a political position disguised as a neutral statement. There is a long line joining e.g. "biologically female" to "AFAB lesbian" to "lesbian trans man" and presumably somewhere on this line he imagines the identity goes from political to apolitical, but he should articulate where that point is - when does identifying with your AGAB stop being a statement about other people and start being a statement purely about yourself?
He also draws a distinction between transmasc lesbians who define lesbianism as essentially "AFAB4AFAB" and those who are theoretically transfem-inclusive, in order to absolve the large majority of transmasc lesbians from accusations of transmisogyny (a word he never uses in the article btw), but this is really a strawman argument. The vast majority of transmasc lesbians do not explicitly exclude transfems but they also do absolutely nothing to include us either. It's the difference between "passive allyship" (not allyship at all imo) and "active allyship". They do not even acknowledge that they are in a privileged position over us, they don't think of themselves as "allies" at all. They can go to a lesbian event that's purely a mixture of cis women and transmascs and call it trans-inclusive, not even noticing the total absence of transfems. You are not really inclusive of a group that is oppressed by you if you can't even acknowledge that that oppression exists.
But the main thing that bugged me was when he brought up the argument that transmascs might associate themselves with womanhood because oppressed groups are privileged in progressive spaces. This point is just absurd. We all know from long experience whose voices are privileged in e.g. queer spaces and it's white men as it is everywhere else. So what is gained by a man associating himself with womanhood in such a space?
I think the key is the context of who that man is talking to. You do not generally see transmascs referring to their "connection to womanhood" when they are in the company of cis men. In fact, that is a context where most transmascs would (reasonably) resent that being brought up at all. That is because it's an assertion that reduces their social positioning as soon as it is said.
On the other hand, if transmascs are in trans spaces (especially non-binary spaces), or mixed cis woman + trans spaces (like lesbian spaces), they are much more likely to bring up AGAB-related issues. That is because these are the only spaces where having been AFAB definitely places you higher on the hierarchy. If it's already known that you are trans, a "connection to womanhood" statement is a stealthy way to bring up that you are not the "scary" type of trans.
To say that transmascs bring up AGAB in trans or lesbian spaces because those spaces invert the ordinary hierarchies of privilege is to say that in the wider world trans women are privileged by our AGAB, which is absurd. Progressive spaces famously replicate all the same oppressive dynamics that you see everywhere else. If it were true that they reversed the ordinary hierarchy, transmascs would be far better off obfuscating their AGAB and we would be announcing ours at every queer event because in that hypothetical world transfems would be at the top of the tree in progressive spaces, rather than routinely kicked out of them for speaking slightly too loud one time.

the thing that gets me is that if trans women were allowed to be mainstream feminists the movement would be advanced by leaps and bounds but those dumb motherfuckers are too busy delighting in their disgust to care
like feminism was on its way until everyone decided they care more about hating trans women than being feminists and now look where we are. cis women and trans men join cis men in attempts to cripple and gut the movement and before you know it we backslid into doing mens rights again while transfems have spent the whole time building on feminist thought doomed never to be taken seriously because were just a bunch of terminally online trannies right? and it makes me want to scream
you people call yourselves feminists until youre faced with a woman so honest as a tranny and then you jump ship
never quite becoming human
