tired of being brave about things i will now be openly pathetic

My immediate reaction 2 being sad or feeling low is to retreat into a ball like a porcupine and hope that it passes as quickly as possible. But ive found 2day i’ve connected w more people than usual and i feel so much better for it. Sometimes isolation is a good tactic to work things through but more times than often its actually connecting with others that makes the difference. Seeing lives through a different perspective, making small talk. In those moments connecting w another, sadness is just background noise. When youre all alone cooped up in bed thinking about everything that’s going wrong it’s debilitating. I’m going to teach myself to connect more often. It’s easy to hide away but sometimes u need to look another human in the eye

i spend my days waiting. waiting for the water to boil and my tea to be ready. for spring to come back. for more daylight. the oil in the pan to heat up. a “hey i miss you” or “can you help me out for a second?” or “you want to hang out?” text. for my phone to finish charging. for good news. flowers on the table. the next hug. “hey, you got the job!”. waiting for the sun. to set. to rise. to see both. for summer to be around the corner. a good song. a falling star. a text back. i spend my time waiting to be remembered. i spend my time repeating that tomorrow will be better. tomorrow will be better. i spend my days waiting and waiting and waiting. i spend my days waiting unbearably.

you just turn 18. you've been in a discord server for a while. you're finally allowed to join the NSFW channel. you open the channel. it's only them posting about OSHA violations at their workplaces and how they're going to unionise.
