Why is it that the absolute best, 200k-word, life-ruining fanfics only reveal themselves past midnight, when I have responsibilities, alarms, and a fragile adult reputation to maintain the next morning?
Anyway. See y'all when Iâm emotionally attached to fictional people and wildly unprepared for the morning.

Warnings: P in V sex, oral (f receving), mentions of parent and sibling death, if i missed any I'm sorry
The next day you woke up practically vibrating with excitement, for spring break and because you would be seeing Law soon. Your grandmother cooked breakfast much to the protest of you girls, as you all ate you talked about the plans for the day. Nami, ever the strategist, tapped her fork against her plate with a smirk. "Alright, hereâs the plan: we hit the grocery store for food, swing by the liquor store, and then make sure weâre at the lake house before the boys get there. That wayâ" she pointed her fork at you, "âwe can set the mood properly for when your emotionally constipated guitarist finally shows up." Vivi gasped, slamming her hands on the table. "Wait. Wait. What if we, like⌠light candles? Scatter rose petals? Blindfold him and make him play a romantic version of Wonderwall as a test?"
Your grandmother nearly spat out her coffee, laughing into her napkin as you buried your face in your hands, Robin chuckled from behind her coffee. You shook your head furiously, "No. No blindfolds, no Wonderwall, and absolutely no rose petals." Koala grinned, mischief sparking in her eyes. "So⌠just candles, then." You groaned, but your heart raced at the thoughtâ
Just a couple more hours, you could do this. A couple more hours until you saw him again. A couple more hours until you either finally got your shit together- or spontaneously combusted from sheer tension.
God help you.
Law woke up in his childhood room, Bepo curled into his side sleeping peacefully. They had gotten there early this morning- crashing at Coras' instead of going to the lake house, Sabo was too tired to continue driving and Cora had told them he didnât mind if they needed to crash- plus Luffy forgot to ask Shanks to leave the key under the mat- typical Luffy. It was like high school all over again.
Law blinked as he took in his old room- it was basically the same as the one at school, his old guitars sat in the corner, old bands posters and pictures were slapped on the walls with no rhyme or reason. He also had two picture frames on his nightstand, one was a double picture frame that had a picture of Law and Cora at his high-school graduation, the other was one of his parents and little sister and the other frame held a picture of Law and you. It was from a Halloween partyâ Law was dressed as a vampire and you had gone as an angel. He groaned, rolling over to stare up at the ceiling- his mind going straight to you. A couple more hours and he would see you. He would finally be able to ask you out so he could finally tell you how he felt. Law was brought out of his thoughts by the smell of coffee and bacon cooking from downstairs, he smiled to himself as he rolled out of bed and made his way downstairs to greet Cora who had been asleep when they got there.
He was standing at the stove humming to himself, as if he could sense Lawsâ presence he turned- Coraâs face immediately lit up when he spotted Law, his lanky frame nearly knocking over a chair as he moved to hug himâbecause of course the man couldnât do anything gracefully. "There he is!" His voice was too loud, too cheerful for the early hour, he wrapped his arms around Law much to his protest but Law found himself relaxing into it anyway. "Coffeeâs fresh, it's that special coffee you like, the one we got on that trip a couple years ago." He said with a smile as he pulled away from the hug. Law smiled slightly as he watched Cora shuffle around the kitchen, it reminded him of when he was a kid.
He wasnât born here, he moved in with Cora after his parents and sister died in a car accident when he was five, he doesnât really remember them and he was okay with that he supposed, it was easier that way. Cora was a friend of his parents, before they passed away at the hospital they asked Cora to take care of Law and his sister if she pulled through, none of them ended up making it. It took a while for the two of them to find a flow, Cora had never raised a child before and Law was emotionally unstable when he came to live with him, but Cora never gave up on Law and made sure he had everything he could ever want and need. He was the first person Law opened up to completely until he met you, Cora sacrificed a lot for him and he would always be grateful for that- in his eyes Cora is his dad.
Law grunted, sliding into a chair as Cora shuffled to the counter, humming off-key. The familiar clatter of plates, the scent of sugar and spice, the smell of tobacco from Corasâ cigarettesâit was all so painfully home and for a second, it made Law forget about the nerves gnawing at his ribs. Then Cora set the plate in front of him, eyes twinkling. "So." Cora leaned in, voice dropping to a stage whisper. "Sheâs here, huh?" Law nearly choked on his coffee. "Who?" He muttered, already knowing it was futile, Cora knew better though. Cora grinned, gesturing to the picture on the fridge, it was you and Law at prom Lawsâ last year in high-school. "Oh, you know. The girl. The one youâve been sighing over since you were, what, eight?" Law scowled, but his ears burned. "Shut up."
Cora just laughed, ruffling his hair like he was still that scrawny kid heâd taken in. "Mhm. Well, Trafalgar, if you donât say something this week, I might just have to tell her myself to help spare you of this moping.â
God. Why was everyone in his life like this?
Before Law could retort with something appropriately grumpy, he heard footsteps thundering down the stairs like a pack of stampeding elephants, well the guys were awakeâ they were all already bickering about something stupid. Ace had a scowl on his face, while Sabo was mid-rant about proper road trip etiquette. Sanji complained about Zoro kicking him in the face last night in his sleep.
"Dude, you cannot just blast death metal first thing in the morning in a neighborhood when people are trying to sleepâ" Sabo said,
"Oh please, people are getting ready for work at that timeâ" Ace fired back.
âDon't get mad at me- you should've chosen a better spot to sleep-â Zoro said with a smirk.
âI was there first though!â Sanji exclaimed loudly.
Cora just grinned, setting plates of food down on the table before pouring fresh mugs of coffee, it reminded Law of all the times the guys would come over when they were kids. Law exhaled, rubbing his temples. The chaos was familiar, almost comfortingâbut his mind was already racing ahead, to the lake house, to you.
A couple more hours. A couple more hours until he either finally manned upâor spontaneously combusted from sheer, stupid longing.
The boys sat down at the table, bickering turning into friendly insults as they dug into the food. Law watched them and tried not to fidget, tried not to glance down at the clock every two minutesâ It was a losing battle. He reached for his coffee cup, only to have Sabo slap it away, earning a muttered curse from Law as it clattered to the table. "No caffeine- youâll end up pacing." Sabo muttered around his mouthful of cinnamon roll. Law rolled his eyes as Luffy and Usopp came down the stairs- bickering about something too. Why was everyone hyped up this morning?
Cora chuckled as Luffy immediately beelined for the cinnamon rolls, narrowly dodging Usoppâs half-hearted swipe to stop him. The kitchen erupted into chaosâLuffyâs garbled, food-filled demands for syrup, Usoppâs dramatic retelling of how Luffy had stolen his pillow in the middle of the night, Ace and Sabo egged them on like the instigators they were and Sanji was still fussing about Zoro kicking him in his sleep.
Law just slumped further into his chair, rubbing his temples. "I hate all of you," he muttered, though there was no real heat behind it. Bepo, sensing his mood, hopped into his lap with a sympathetic meow, as if to say, "At least I donât suck." Law smiled, petting his head fondly. Cora, still grinning, slid a fresh cup of coffee toward himâthis time out of Saboâs reach. "Nervous?" he asked quietly, Law stiffened. "No." Cora raised an eyebrow. "Uh-huh." He nudged the coffee closer. "Just rememberâif you donât say something, Shanks probably will. And you know how much he loves dramatic reveals."
Law groaned. God damn it.
As you ran around town with the girls to grab food and alcohol for the week you made your way to the bar to get the keys from Shanks', you left the girls in the car, not wanting to give Shanks' extra help in teasing you. When you walked in he and Beckman were arguing about something near the stage, they were setting up for open mic night this coming weekend. Shanks glanced at you as you entered, eyes lighting up as he leaned into Beckman. "Hey there, princess. Here to cause trouble?" He called out, a familiar smirk pulling on his face as Beckman chuckled.
You feigned ignorance, raising your chin slightly as you reached them.
"Me? Trouble? Never." You deadpanned. Shanks just laughed, reaching in his pocket for the keys. "Uh-huh. You all better be good and not burn my house down." He said holding them up in front of you teasingly like you were still ten. You smiled, reaching to grab the keys before turning to hurry out the door, "we will be careful!â
Shanks grinned, waving you off. "Donât do anything I wouldnât do!" He called after you.
Pulling up to the lake house you felt your heartbeat in your throat- there was no sign of the guys yet which was a slight relief, it gave you time to calm your nerves. You all piled out of the car and started to unload everything. The lake house was pretty big, Shanksâ and Buggy both technically owned it together but Shanks' had more money invested. It had a pool with a bar and hot tub outside. It was two stories so it had plenty of room, there was a dock that had a boat house on the lake. It was perfect for the group for the week- and the best part was you didn't have to pay for it.
You turned to the girls once you all got inside and got everything put up, now all there was to do was wait for the boys. As you sat and watched TV you felt a headache forming in your temples. The stress from everything that had happened the past two weeks is catching up to you. You sat up and told the girls you were going to lay down for a bit since you all were supposed to go to Shanksâ bar tonight. You knew Law would be here soon but you didn't want to be tired when he got here. You walked upstairs and claimed one of the rooms for yourself, toeing your shoes off you let yourself sink into the covers, you closing your eyes and let sleep take over-
The gravel under Lawsâ boot crunched with every step he took as he followed behind the guys, they had just got there and everyone else was excited for the week to come- Law just felt like he was going to puke.
As he stepped into the house he felt his heart go to his throat, his fingers drumming against the strap of his duffel bag as he scanned the room for youâonly to be met with the smug grins of the girls instead. Nami tilted her head toward the stairs with a knowing look, âshe went upstairs to take a nap- she said her head was hurting and wanted to get some rest before we go out later.â She said with a smile.
He exhaled sharply, rolling his eyesâbut his feet were already moving, carrying him up the stairs before he could second-guess himself. The house was quiet save for the muffled voices downstairs, the occasional burst of laughter from the others as they settled in. His pulse thrummed in his ears, too loud, too fast.
The walk down the hall felt like he was walking ten miles- the door was slightly ajar, he wondered if you did that on purpose to let him know where you were.
Pushing it open just enough to slip inside, he froze at the sight of youâcurled up on your side, asleep, bathed in the golden afternoon light filtering through the curtains. The tension in his shoulders eased, replaced by something softer, warmer. He set his bag down quietly, careful not to wake you as he crossed the room. For a moment, he just stood there, watching the steady rise and fall of your breathing. Then, he softly moved to the bed, his knee hit the edge of the mattress as he leaned over you slightly- before he could overthink it, he reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from your faceâ
Two weeks of nervous energy, and this was what finally made him feel calm againâjust you, here- underneath his fingers.
You slowly opened your eyes as if you could sense Lawsâ presence, you blinked a couple times to get rid of the sleep before your eyes finally focused-
âHi taffy-â you said softly, your voice still laced with sleep, smiling up at him. He felt his heart clench in his chest, fuck he just forgot everything he was going to say. He smiled down at you, his golden eyes scanning your face like he was memorizing your features like it was the first time he had seen them. âI missed you,â you said as you wrapped your arms around his neck to pull him down to you.
Law felt his heart swell at your words, he let out a slightly shaky breath as he wrapped one of his arms around you to pull you closer to him, his other arm braced by your head to keep his weight off of you some. He buried his face in your neck and took a deep breath in- âI missed you too-â he said softly, you almost didn't hear it. A smile crept onto your face as you pulled him even closer, he let himself melt into your arms, his body laying in between your legs so he could lay on top of you. He relaxed into your arms like a cat, his head still tucked into the crook of your neck as his fingers dug into the soft skin on your hips, as if he was trying to ground himself. His lips brushed against your neck, feather-light and reverential, before he spoke softly. "You areâŚ" he began, lifting his head to look at you. His golden eyes were bright, but his expression was almost⌠vulnerable. "...beautiful.â You blinked at him- blushing under his compliment. You felt your heart squeeze a bit- then he continued speaking. âSweetheart- I need to ask you something, something I should have asked a long time ago.â
Law smiled to himself a bit- He pulled back and propped himself up, his arms on each side of you- caging you in. "Well, I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me - if you want to." he said as his eyes searched your face- his heart hammered in his chest as he waited for your response. You studied his face, the sincerity in his gaze, his slight blush. It made your heart do a somersault in your chest. You smiled, reaching up to brush your fingers across his cheekâtracing the sharp lines of his face like you would a work of art. He shivered under your touch, a soft exhale escaping him.
"Yes," you replied, your eyes still searching his face. "I'd love to go on a date with you."
His eyes darkened at those words, his gaze growing intense.
Law exhaled shakily, his fingers tightening ever so slightly on the sheets beside your head. "Good," he murmured, voice rough with reliefâand something hotter, deeper. "Because Iâm done pretending I donât want this." Then he was kissing you, slow and deliberate, his lips molding to yours like they were made for it. His hand slid up to cradle your jaw, thumb brushing your cheekbone as if you were something fragile, precious. When he finally pulled backâjust far enough to see your faceâhis smirk was smug, but his eyes were soft. And just like that, the invisible line between you was goneâreplaced by something brighter, fiercer, and entirely, undeniably his.
Law wouldnât tell you where he was taking you, only that it was a surprise. After he asked you out he proceeded to walk down stairs and tell everyone he was taking you on a date so they would have to drop the two of you off at Corasâ on their way to Shanksâ bar. As soon as the girls heard from his mouth that he had finally asked you out all but knocked him over rushing up the stairs to get to you. Law didnât even have time to protest, he was waved off as the girls told him they were going to help you get ready and he had to wait- which is what he was currently doing.
Law ran his hands through his hair, feeling like his heart was beating in his ears. He couldn't believe he'd actually done it- that he'd finally asked you out, and you'd said yes. He was still riding high from the look on your face when you said yes, the way you smiled at him- God he was so weak for you. He couldn't stand it, waiting downstairs while you and the girls got ready. He wanted to burst through the door and see you, but he held himself back.
Meanwhile upstairs Koala and Vivi had all but dumped your suitcase out onto the bed. You were sitting amongst the chaos, Robin was sitting next to you shaking her head at the other four. Then Nami looked like she had won the lottery, "oh! I almost forgot, I remember you saying Law really loved that sundress you wore the day he ran out on you, so I may have gone in your room and got it and brought it with me for just this situation." She said as she rumaged through her suitcase, turning around to hold the dress up in front of her. You blushed- he really did love that dress, he wouldn't stop staring the entire day. Your fingers brushed over the soft fabric of the sundress, your stomach doing a little flip at the memory of Law's lingering gaze that day. The girls erupted into knowing grins, Nami practically vibrating with victory.
"Oh, heâs done for," Vivi declared, tossing a tube of mascara at Koala, who caught it with a wicked smirk. "That man is going to melt when he sees you in this dress again." Robin leaned in, voice low and conspiratorial. "Iâd give it ten minutes before heâs physically incapable of keeping his hands off you." Koala fake-gagged, tossing a hair tie at her. "Ew, Robinâ" But you were already grinning, pulling the dress on with a little shiver of anticipation. Law was waiting. And God, you couldnât wait to see his face.
This was going to be the best date of your life.
The girls finished getting ready while you took in your appearance in the mirror- your hair and makeupâsoft waves, a hint of lip gloss, just enough to make you glow without looking like you were trying too hard. Nami noticed your expression and stopped to look at you, arms crossed, she already knew you were worrying in your head. âHe's gonna lose his damn mind." She says smiling at you- Vivi and Kaya silently agreeing with a nod.
Vivi took your boots and threw them across the room, then shoved a pair of white strappy sandals into your hands- giving you a look as you pouted. "Now go. Before he starts pacing a hole in the floor."
You took a deep breath, smoothing the dress one last time before heading for the stairs. Your pulse hammered as you descendedâand then there he was. Law, leaning against the banister at the bottom, looking unfairly good in a fitted black button-down and dark jeans, his usual scowl replaced by something softer, nervous even. His gaze snapped to you the second you came into view, his golden eyes wideningâthen darkening. His throat bobbed as he swallowed hard.
"...Hey," he managed, voice rough.
Behind you, someone- probably Koala muttered, "Oh my God, heâs screwed." Law ignored them, stepping forward to take your hand, his fingers intertwining with yours like they belonged there. His eyes roamed over you with a heated gaze, it made your knees weak and if he kept looking at you like that you would probably end up a puddle on the floor.
Law exhaled sharply, his thumb brushing over your knuckles like he couldnât stop touching you. "Fuck, brat," he murmured, low enough that only you could hear, "You're gonna kill me." The girls cackled in the background, but neither of you paid them any mind. His free hand came up to cradle your jaw, his touch feather-light, like you were something precious. His voice dropped to a growl. "If we werenât on a time limit right now, Iâdâ"
He cut himself off, jaw tightening, but the heat in his eyes said everything. You shivered, leaning into his touch. Vivi fake-coughed from the stairs. "Time to go, lovebirds. Move."
Law shot her a glare, but his fingers stayed tangled with yours as he led you outsideâwhere the rest of the group was already piled into the car, windows down, hollering obnoxiously. Ace wolf-whistled as Law opened the door for you, earning a middle finger in response.
As the car pulled away, Lawâs hand settled on your thigh, warm and possessive. "So," he said, voice all gravel and promise, "ready to be properly wooed?"
You were so, so doomed.
The group dropped you and Law off at Corasâ- not without catcalls and whistles that definitely didnât help your nerves. After getting the truck you and Law set off on your surprise date. The truck rumbled down a winding backroad, the last bit of golden sunlight filtering through the trees as the sun started to set. Law drove with one hand on the wheel, the other resting comfortably on your thigh. The quiet between you was easy, familiarâuntil he suddenly turned down an overgrown dirt path that definitely wasn't on any map. You raised an eyebrow as the truck bounced over ruts in the road. "Are you taking me out here to murder me, Taffy?" Law smirked, fingers flexing against your leg. "Depends. You scared, brat?"
The trees finally opened up to reveal the parking area for the cliffsâstretching over crystal-clear water, a couple of people were on boats in the water. Law killed the engine, turning to face you fully. His voice dropped, gruff but sincere. "Figured we deserved somewhere... quiet."
Your chest tightened. Because of course he'd rememberâthat crowded parties made you anxious, that you'd rather watch stars than city lights. That you loved this version of him most: just Law, no audience, no pretenses. You leaned over the console, pressing your forehead to his. "It's perfect."
And so are you- you thought.
He slid out of the driver seat to grab the bag he had asked Cora to pack that had dinner for the two of you to watch the sunset before it got dark. You stepped out of the truck to make your way to the edge of the cliff to take in the familiar scenery, smiling to yourself at the memories this place held for you and Law. It was sweet of him to remember the little things like this-
You felt the warmth of the evening breeze on your skin as you stood at the edge of the cliff, gazing out over the lake. The water shimmered in the fading sunlight, the colors of the sky melting into a masterpiece of oranges, pinks, and purples. You could hear Law speak behind you.
"It's not much- but I know all the memories this place has,â he said gruffly, rubbing the back of his neck in that rare, unguarded way that made your heart skip. You turned around- he had laid blankets and pillows out on the bed of the truck, you could see his hesitation. It was sweet how much effort he put into this to make it perfect for you.
You laughed, shaking your head as you looked at himâreally looked at him. The way the golden hour light caught in his dark hair, the way his tattoos peeked out from beneath his rolled-up sleeves, the way his usually sharp gaze softened just for you.
"Just like high-school?" you teased, "Yeah, brat." His voice was quiet, rough with something deeper than amusement. "But this time, it's different." He said- his golden eyes searching for yours. You smiled fondly back at him.
As you stood there and watched him you realizedâno matter where life took you, this moment, this place, him... would always feel like coming home.
Smiling to yourself, you moved to get in the back of the truck with him, crawling on all fours slowly- Law could see down the front of your dress at this angle and fuck- he could see the lace from the black bra you wore and it made it head go fuzzy- a low, almost involuntary noise of appreciation rumbled from his throat at the sight, his eyes darkening further. His fingers twitching against the blanket like he had to physically keep himself from reaching for you. His eyes darted from your face to the newly exposed skin of your chest.
You bit your tongue, suppressing a smile. You were enjoying this, watching him struggle with restraintâthe way he was so affected by even a hint of skin- it was intoxicating, knowing you had that effect on him. That he got so wound up he couldn't keep his hands to himself. It was fun.
Law exhaled sharply through his nose, his jaw tightening as he forced himself to look awayâbut not before you caught the way his Adamâs apple bobbed with a hard swallow. His voice was pure gravel when he finally spoke.
"Youâre playing a dangerous game, brat." His fingers flexed against the blanket again, knuckles whitening. "Keep that up and I wonât be responsible for what happens next."
The threat in his tone sent a delicious shiver down your spineâbut you werenât done teasing him yet. Leaning forward just enough to make the fabric of your dress slip dangerously lower, you blinked up at him with faux innocence.
"Oh? And what exactly would happen next, Taffy?"
That was the breaking point. With a growl, Lawâs hand shot out, gripping your waist and yanking you the rest of the way into the truck bedâuntil you were straddling his lap, his other hand fisted in the fabric of your dress to keep it right where he wanted it. His breath was hot against your ear as he nipped at the shell of it, voice dripping with promise.
"Try me and find out."
The challenge in his voiceârough, possessiveâsent a thrill through you. Your breath hitched as his grip tightened, the warmth of his palms branding your skin even through the fabric. But you werenât about to back down now. Not when the heat in his gold eyes promised everything.
You leaned in closer, lips brushing the shell of his ear as you whispered,
"Maybe I want to find out."
Law went utterly still. Then, with a sound dangerously close to a snarl, he flipped you onto your back in one swift motion, caging you beneath him. The setting sun painted his sharp features in wildfire hues as he hovered over you, gaze raking over your flushed face, your parted lipsâ
"Are you sure about that?" he murmured, voice thick with warning.
Your fingers tangled in his shirt, tugging him down until his breath mingled with yours.
"Since when have I ever been scared of you?"
His smirk was sharp, victorious. "Good."
And then his mouth crashed into yoursâhot, demanding, ruinous.
You moan into the kiss, you could feel yourself getting wet at the thought of what he could do to you, it sent a surge of new heat straight to your core. You needed him to do something, anything or you feared you would combust. The past two weeks of constant teasing you had put each other through had finally reached a breaking point and you were ready. Law groaned into your mouth, the sound turning feral at your moan. His hands were everywhereâtangling in your hair, tracing the curves of your body, slipping beneath your dress to splay across the bare skin of your thighs. When he pulled away, it was just far enough to breatheâ
âAre you sure sweetheart?â He asked in a rough voice though his tone held a softness to it.
You shivered, arching into his touchâbut your voice was steady as you spoke, voice thick with need. You grabbed the front of his shirt to pull him even closer to you, if that was even possible.
"Law-â you started, âif you donât touch me in some way right now I think I'll burst into flames.â You said- your voice dripping with want. Law breathed in through his nose, caught off guard for a moment at your bold statement. He recovered quickly though, smirking down at you as his hands started to travel to where you wanted him the most. The moment his knuckles brushed your pussy you sucked in a sharp breath- which only made Lawsâ smirk grow wider.
âYou are so sensitive.â He said, his voice dripping with smugness, you felt your face heat up, your hips instinctively rutting to meet his hand in hopes of more friction. His eyes burned holes into you and he pushed your dress up to your waist, he started kissing your lower stomach moving down to kiss the tops of your thighs. You could feel yourself vibrating with anticipation, Law motioned for you to lift your hips so he could slide your underwear down your legs to toss them aside. He continued teasing you with feather light kisses to your thighs, adjusting his position so he was laying in between your legs. His big hands grabbed the backs of your knees to push your legs apart, exposing you to him. You blushed under his heated gaze, his eyes never left yours as he pressed his lips to your clit. Your body immediately lurched forward- hands flying to grab handfuls of his hair to try and ground yourself. Lawâs grip on your thighs tightened as he dragged his tongue through your soaked foldsâslow, deliberate, filthyâbefore sucking your clit into his mouth with a groan. The vibration of it ripped a shattered moan from your throat, your back arching off the blanket.
"FuckâLaw" you whined-
He hummed against you, lapping you up like you were his favorite fucking meal, one hand sliding down to your pussy. He started fingering you slowly, gradually building up speed. The dual sensation had your hips bucking against his mouth, but he held you down easily, his other arm wrapping around your waist to keep you pinned.
When he finally pulled backâjust enough to let you feel his breath against your swollen, aching cuntâhis voice was wrecked. "Look at you," he growled, "so damn pretty when youâre desperate."
Then he dove back in, fucking you with his tongue like he was starved for it, and you screamed.
Every gasp, every whisper, every sound that you made was like gasoline to him, burning him up from the inside. He wanted to hear you lose every piece of that careful control, your every thought reduced to the feel of his body over yours, his voice in your ear, his hands on you, in you. You were not much better- every nerve felt like it was on fire and the heat coiling in your belly was almost too much. He could feel you squeeze around his fingers as he brought you closer to the edge. When he raised his head, his gaze was molten, lips glistening from both of you. His voice was a question, a promise and a prayer all wrapped in one.
"Are you going to cum for me sweetheart?"
You looked down at him with lust-blown eyes, your chest rising and falling rapidly as you felt yourself getting closer to the edge. The feeling of Lawsâ mouth on you was overwhelming, all you could manage to get out was a broken yes.
Lawsâ lips curled into a predatory smirk, his fingers digging into your thighs as he held you open. "Then do it," he growled against your clit before sucking hardâtongue circling mercilessly while two fingers curled inside you, hitting that sweet spot that had you seeing stars. Your back arched violently, a raw cry of his name tearing from your throat as pleasure shattered through youâwave after wave of it, legs shaking, fingers clawing at the blankets as he guided you through it, his mouth relentless until you were whimpering, oversensitive and boneless beneath him.
Only then did he pull back, licking his lips with a satisfied hum, eyes dark with undiluted hunger as he dragged his soaked fingers slowly over your folds, you twitched at the sensation.
"Good girl." he said with a growl, you whimpered at the loss of contact as he pulled away. âShhhh- I got you,â he said as he kissed his way back up to your face to capture your lips with his. With shaky hands you wrap your arms around him and roll your hips upward into him, electing a moan from him at the feeling.
He quickly unbuckled his belt to pull his pants down enough to free his cock- you were able to catch a quick glance at it and holy shit.
He chuckled roughly at the widening eyes you gave him, his own gaze growing darker with heat as he leaned down to brush his lips against the shell of your ear. "Something you like, sweetheart?" he rumbled, voice low and rough with barely-restrained need. That familiar smirk danced on his lips. "Use your words." You blushed at him calling you out like he didn't just steal your soul through your pussy. âYes, I do sir. I love what I see,â you say sweetly, eyes hungrily taking him in.
Law flushed slightly at the use of that title, a slight shiver running through him at the way you looked at himâlike you were drinking him in, like he was something priceless and rare. He cleared his throat, his gaze roaming over your flushed face, the way your lips were swollen and kiss-bruised from earlier, the way your hair was splayed out beneath youâlike a damn angel.
"You're beautiful when you look like that." He murmured quietly- Then, with that familiar dark smirk. "Like you're all mine."
âI've always been yours,â you say softly, hands racing up to cradle his face.
His breath hitched at your words, golden eyes widening for just a second before his expression softenedâsomething rare, something realâas he leaned into your touch.
"Yeah?" His voice was rough, barely above a whisper, like he couldnât quite believe it even now. "Then prove it." And with that, he rolled his hips forward, sliding into you in one slow, aching thrust, his forehead dropping against yours with a groan. "Fuckâ perfect. You feel perfect."
His hands found yours, fingers threading together to pin them to the bed as he movedâdeep, possessive trust, like he was carving his name into your very bones. Like heâd never let go.
The air between you was thick with heat, every thrust, every gasp, every whispered word of praise was a testament to the years of longing between youâfinally unleashed, finally real.
Lawâs grip on your hands tightened as his pace grew more erratic, his breath ragged against your lips. âLook at me,â he demanded with a soft growl.
And you did.
Gold met yours, and in that moment, you saw itâeverything heâd never said, everything heâd never allowed himself to feel. Yours. Always yours.
âCome with me,â he murmured, and when you didâstars bursting behind your eyelids, his name a prayer on your lipsâhe followed with a groan, his body shuddering as he spilled inside you.
For a long moment, there was nothing but the sound of shared breaths, the warmth of his weight pressing you into the blankets, the steady beat of his heart against yours. Thenâ
ââŚSo.â Lawâs voice was dry, teasing, as he lifted his head to smirk at you. âStill think you can handle me, brat?â
You smirk at him, eyes shining at him, âI don't know- is that all you got Taffy?
Law's eyes flashed with something dangerousâa challenge accepted, a gauntlet thrown. The corner of his mouth twitched, slow and predatory, as he rolled his hips just enough to make you gasp.
"Oh, brat," he murmured, voice dripping with promise as he leaned down to nip at your earlobe. "We're just getting started."
Suddenly he flips you onto your stomach, one hand pressing between your shoulder blades as the other gripped your hipâ

Disclaimer: I do not own any characters
Backstory: You and Law are childhood best friends that are in love with eachother but don't want to ruin the friendship but what happens when feelings are just to strong? You already act like a couple anyways, there is only two things left to do...
Warnings: Bullying, mentions of parent death, if I missed any I am sorry
You expected the two weeks to go by slowly but before you knew it, it was the Thursday before spring break officially started, all your friends and Law would be making their way here soon. It will be nice to go back to the lake house- you thought as you pulled weeds from the ground in your grandmothersâ garden, you had not been since the high-school graduation party Shanks threw for you, Luffy, Nami, Ussop and Vivi when you graduated. All the rest of your friends and Law were already in college but they came back for the weekend to celebrate- you were excited to feel that again. You were grateful your grandmother had stuff she needed to do around the house, it kept you from constantly thinking about Law. You had still not spoken of what happened before you left, nor the pictures you had sent the day after you got here- you were kind of grateful he had not brought it up yet, you were still unsure of what you would even say. You knew what you wanted to say deep down, you just didnât know how to word it- if that even made sense. Before you realized you had feelings for him, you always knew where you stood with Law. He was your best friend- the one you told literally every to. As you fought with a particularly stubborn weed you thought about the first time you met Law, a smile came to your face at the memory-
You and your mom had just moved in with your grandmother the summer before school started, you were in First grade. Your mom had gotten too sick to care for herself and you so your grandmother brought you both to live with her. You remembered being nervous as you walked into the new school with your Aunt- you did not have any friends at your old school, having not been there long enough to make any so you chose to spend your recesses by yourself, admiring flowers or bugs or just sitting on the swing. One day you were crouched over a patch of dandelions, admiring the yellow flowers fondly when suddenly two shadows blocked the sun casting shadows over the ground in front of you, making you turn around- you were about to say hello, thinking they wanted to play or something but the looks on their faces said otherwise.
âYou're the kid that doesnât have a dad right? He left you and your mom didnât he- I bet it was because you're a whinny baby.â The taller of the two said with a sneer, the shorter boy snickering at his friends insults. You blinked at them- not quite sure what to say or do. You had not grown up around many kids until you started school except your cousins. It had always been you and your mom, your dad had not been in the picture since before you were born- the town you lived in was small, both your parents had grown up there as well only moving away when your dad took a nice job in the city. Your mom had moved with him, saying she would follow him to the ends of the earth. You recall her telling you in her last few months of life- but your dad did not want kids and when your mom found out she was pregnant and would not get rid of it he left. Never speaking to you or her again. Then after she passed he came back and tried to take you from your grandmother- to which resulted in a custody battle and Shanks beating him with an inch of his life. You havenât heard from him since.
You stared at the boys unsure of what to say, just as you were about to stand up and run away you heard a voice call out from behind the boys. The three of you looked to see a skinny boy with shaggy black hair and possibly the brightest gold eyes you had ever seen in your life staring daggers at the boys.
âHey! Why donât you pick on someone your own size!â He said loudly, his voice held a sharp edge to his and his gold eyes stared heatedly at them. Now that he was a bit closer you could see he was about an inch shorter than the tallest boy that was picking on you. You watched with wide eyes as the boys argued for a moment, the taller boy shoved Law back forcefully which Law was able to recover from with ease. When he got his footing back Law stepped forward and pushed the boy back with all his strength causing him to fall back onto the shorter one. They looked up in stunned silence at Law who was still fuming on the inside, they stood up brushing themselves off as they turned to walk away the taller one called out- âYour parents wanted to get away from you so bad they had to died to get away from you!â He said before they took off across the playground, Law went to follow after them but he felt a hand grab his wrist. He whipped his head back to see you staring at him with a small smile on your face, âThey arenât worth it you know,â you said softly.
Law looked back at where the boys had disappeared before sighing to himself, your smile got wider, âThank you- for standing up for me,â you said, looking up at him. Law felt a blush creep onto his face, he quickly avoided your gaze, his free hand coming up to rub the back of his neck sheepishly. âOh, it was nothing- they are just jerks.â He said with a small grumble to his voice. âPlus I know how it is- to not have a parent around,â he added quietly, his eyes shining with a hint of sadness. Your smile faltered for a moment before you squeezed his hand that you were still holding, âHey- I know your parents would probably give anything to be here with you,â you said with a smile, your eyes scanning his face. Law looked back at you before giving you a small smile, squeezing your hand slightly, âyeah well, your dad is an idiot for not wanting to know you, you seem great.â He said, his smile growing in sync with yours.
âDo you want to be best friends?â You asked, pulling him towards the swings with a grin, he smiled at you, his eyes shining with amusement now, âyeah best friends- Iâd like that.â
You remember coming home from school and telling your mom and grandmother all about the boy that stood up for you on the playground. You remember your mom smiling fondly as you sat on her bed and told her all about Law, and from that day on the two of you were inseparable. You remember Law and his adopted dad came to your moms funeral, you sat on the stairs at your grandmothersâ after, your head resting on Lawsâ shoulder as the two of you sat. He held you while you cried, not saying anything- that was one thing you always appreciated about him, he never told you to not cry, he would just hold you until your crying stopped and even then he would continue to hold you until you were ready to let go. You smiled at the memory, a tear slid down your face thinking about her. You wished she was here- she would know what to tell you.
Law was counting down the days till it was time for everyone to head back home for spring break, Ace relentlessly teased him about yearning or some shit but Law did not care, he just wanted to see you so you could finally talk about what happened. Law did not want you thinking the only thing he wanted from you was to get in your pants, but Law knew you were also smarter than to think that- or at least he hoped you didnât think that. He was at work, mindlessly messing with his guitar- it was a Thursday so they were not busy- not that they were usually busy but it was an oddly slow day, and he didnât want to bother you while you were with your Grandmother so he was just sitting and waiting. He just wanted to get through the rest of his shift so he could go smoke and lay in bed and mope- by the time he got home he was irritated and tired. It was almost nine now, he knew you were already asleep- you had texted him earlier letting him know you were going to bed.
His thoughts went to the pictures you had sent him last night- it was extremely unexpected but he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it. All he could think about since was how it would feel to have you under him- making pretty noises just for him. The thought alone made his cock twitch in his pants. Law exhaled roughly, dragging a hand down his face as he collapsed onto his bed, his phone clutched in his other hand. The memory of youâyour teasing smirk, the sinful curve of your body in those photosâhad him painfully hard within seconds. He debated for half a second before giving in, his fingers flying over his phone screen with a single-minded focus-
Taffyđ¤: Youâre lucky youâre not here right now, sweetheart. Because if you were, Iâd show you exactly what those pictures did to me.
His thumb hovered for a heartbeat before adding-
Taffyđ¤: And trust me, youâll regret teasing me so much.
Thenâbecause he couldnât resistâhe attached a photo of his own. The hard line of his cock straining against his sweatpants, his hand gripping himself through the fabric. The message was clear.
Taffyđ¤: Paybackâs a bitch.
You were half-asleep when your phone buzzed on the nightstandâthe sharp sound jolting you awake. Blinking groggily, you fumbled for it, squinting at the screen- and then suddenly, you were very awake. Lawâs text. Lawâs photo. Your breath hitched, your pulse kicking into overdrive as your eyes raked over the image. The way his fingers pressed against the outline of his cock, the thickness of him barely contained by the fabricâ You swallowed hard, your skin flushing as your mind unhelpfully supplied the memory of his voice growling in your ear- youâll regret teasing me so much, before you could overthink it, your thumbs flew across the screen-
You: Wow. Someoneâs....frustrated.
A beat. Then, emboldened by the dark and the lingering haze of sleep, you added-
You: Guess youâll just have to show me in person how much Iâll "regret" it, huh?
You hit sendâand immediately buried your face in your pillow, half-terrified, half-thrilled at your own audacity.
Two could play this game.
The next day Law was chilling on the arm chair in the living room messing with his guitar- Zoro, Ussop and Luffy were playing a game on the TV, Sanji was in the kitchen cooking dinner and Sabo was reading with Bepo perched in his lap- a typical day for the boys when Luffy wasn't forcing anyone to party. Law's fingers moved over the strings of his guitar, absently plucking out notes as he tried to distract himself. His mind was restless. He'd barely slept, replaying every little interaction with you again and again. His phone was sitting within reach, and he kept sneaking glances at it- like maybe just glaring would make you magically appear here. Which was, admittedly, pretty dumb. He was itching to get his hands on you, to get his revenge for all the teasing, and he was about one second away from saying fuck it and driving up to you himself. Sabo noticed Laws' gruff expression; he also noticed Law was plucking the strings of his guitar so hard that he thought the strings would snap.
Sabo shot Law a look out of the corner of his eyeâLaw was practically strangling his guitar at this point, his glare focused on the instrument, eyes distant. Sabo turned, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Hey," he said, gesturing to the guitar with a nod. "Are you planning on popping a string?"
"Hmph," Law scoffed softly, shooting Sabo a mildly annoyed glance. He knew Sabo could see through him. "I'm fine.â Zoro shot Sabo a look from his spot on the couch- they were clearly not buying it. Law ignored the looks, gritting his teeth as he forcibly loosened his grip on the guitar. Goddamn it, the last thing he needed right now was Zoro and Sabo getting nosy. "Really." He insisted gruffly, "It's fine. Just playing.â Sabo nodded his head like he only half believed him- closing his book he sat it on the coffee table to turn and look at Law. Zoro spoke up before Sabo could- "Bro if you don't do something soon you'll go crazy-â Law bit the inside of his cheek to keep from snapping at him. He knew they were just trying to help, that they care, but Jesus Christ- if he had to hear "just talk to her" one more time, he was going to lose it.
"I know." He said through gritted teeth. "I'm fine. I'm handling it.â The corners of Sabosâ lips twitched into a smile, shaking his head he laughed- "Are you going to handle it as gently as you're handling your guitar? Because if so I feel kind of bad for her," He said with a smirk, at Sabosâ remark Zoro choked on the sip of drink he had just taken. Law's grip on the guitar tightened again- okay, that one stung. He shot Sabo a dark look, scowling. He knew he was only teasing, but the comment hit a bit too close to home. "Shut up, smartass." He snapped- and then Zoro burst out laughing, which just pissed Law off even more. He tossed the guitar aside, glowering at the pair of them, poor Luffy just sat and watched, confused like always. Law rolled his eyes- he was right though. He needed a way to talk to you- he just didn't know how. Everytime he went to try and talk to you he either couldn't find the right words or the two of you were interrupted. It was driving him crazy.
Law got up from the couch with a small huff, grabbing his guitar and heading up to his room, he sighed to himself as he sat on the edge of his bed letting his head fall into his hands in frustration. Why was it so hard to just talk to you? Well, he knew why and it made him feel like a coward. Law was too busy in thoughts to notice Ace lingering in the doorway to his room, Ace leaned against the frame and smirked, he felt bad for Law. Ace watched Law from the doorway silently, tilting his head to the side. He could read his friend like an open bookâLaw was struggling hard right now, but like the stubborn idiot he was, he absolutely refused to admit he was struggling. Typical Law- Ace pushed off the doorway, stepping into the room as he crossed his arms.
"Still don't know how to tell her?â
Ace said in a teasing voice, moving from the doorway to lean against Lawsâ desk, studying his friend intently. Ace acting uncharacteristically serious- Law stiffened, straightening up and glaring at Ace irritably. Damn it, why was everyone so determined to get in his business today? "I said I'm handling it." He said gruffly, crossing his arms and looking away to avoid eye contact. He could feel Ace staring at him, eyes practically piercing him. Ace sighed, moving to sit in the chair, his hand stroking his chin in thought.
"Well, why donât you start small? Take her on a date somewhere that has meaning to both of you, and then when the moment is right tell her how you feel." Ace said, Law huffed, running a hand through his hairâgod, where would he even take you? He wasn't good at expressing his feelings. Law was the kind of person who showed his love through action, not wordsâhe showed his feelings by being there, maybe Ace was right.
"Thatâs actually not a bad idea." He admitted gruffly, glancing away. Ace smiled a bit, rolling his eyes at his friend- âOf course itâs not, girls love when guys are sentimental nâ shit, and she is no different." Ace added with a smile, standing up he slapped Law on the shoulder affectionately, "who knows? It might work out better than you think," he said before turning to head downstairs. Law watched as Ace left, scowling to himself. He knew Ace's idea was a good oneâhe was just stubborn, and frankly terrified at the idea of going on an actual date with you scared the shit out of him. He could do this though- you were worth it.
The rest of the week passed and before you knew it it was the weekend before spring break offically started. You were standing by your grandmothersâ car outside the airport waiting for the girls. You had not really had the chance to talk to them about everything that had happened with Law so you were excited to see them and to talk to them. Since the guys would be driving instead of flying so Law could bring Bepo to his adopted dadsâ house for the week the girls decided they did not want to be cramped in a rental van with the boys so they chose to fly. You were scrolling through your phone when you heard Vivi excitedly calling your name, she was waving her arms excitedly, the rest following behind her.
âHey guys!â You say excitedly, rushing forward to meet them in a group hug. After pulling away and playing tetris with the luggage the six of you piled into your grandmothersâ car and began making your way to her house. As you drove you chatted about what plans were made for spring break, Vivi talked about a guy she was seeing but wouldnât spare more details then he was Junior like her. You thought the topic of you and Law would be avoided but Koala piped up from the backseat- her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Koala leaned forward from the backseat, grinning like the Cheshire cat. "Okay, enough about Vivi's mystery manâwhat about you and Law, huh?" She waggled her eyebrows suggestively. You stiffened immediately, your grip tightening on the steering wheel. Of course they werenât going to let you off the hook that easily.
"Iâweâit's nothing," you stammered, face heating up instantly.
Nami snorted, rolling her eyes. "Oh please, we all saw the way he looked at you at the party. Zoro also said that Law mentioned something about pictures? He said Law wouldnât spill any information but his cheeks were sure red.â She said with a sly smile- Kaya gasped dramatically, clapping her hands. "You sent him pictures?! Spill. Now." Vivi twisted in her seat to stare at you, eyes wide with glee. "Oh my god, was it spicy? Tell me it was spicy." You groaned, sinking lower in your seat as if the car could swallow you whole.
Feeling the heat spread from your cheeks all the way to your ears. The girls werenât about to let this goânot when theyâd been waiting weeks for details. "It was justâ" you started, "A moment of weakness, okay? Itâs his fault for teasing me with his abs-" you say with a small smile. Nami smirked, turning in the passenger seat to pin you with a knowing look. "Uh-huh. And what kind of âmomentâ are we talking about here? Teasing? Flirting? Or full-blown âLaw probably had to take a very cold shower afterâ?"
Vivi gasped, bouncing in her seat. "Oh my god, you sent him that kind of picture, didnât you?!" You shot her a glare, but your burning face gave you away. Koala cackled, clapping her hands together. "I knew it! So, whenâs the wedding?" You groaned again, slumping against the seat as the car erupted into laughter. "Youâre all terrible we havenât even been on a date yet." You said as you turned onto your grandmothersâ road. Kaya leaned forward, grinning. "But you love us. Nowâdetails. All of them." You sighed, you might as well tell them- they were your friends after all and just wanted you to be happy. The only people you had told so far about the kiss was Shanks and Beckman- but they couldn't give you the same perspective the girls could.
"When he came over the night before I left, we may have um- smoked and maybe made out on the couch-" you said with a blush, not looking at any of them.
The girls all let out various sounds of excitement and delight, clearly thrilled by the small details you had finally given. But it wasn't enoughâthey wanted more and they wanted it now. Nami leaned closer, raising an eyebrow. "So he came over, you guys got high- and then what? Don't leave us hanging.â "That's all we just made out a bit- he called me beautiful and then I got the phone call. The mood was kind of ruined after that." You said as you pulled into the driveway and put the car in park in front of your grandmothers. The girls all groaned in disappointment, clearly expecting way more from the interaction.
Nami huffed, unbuckling her seatbelt. "That's it? Just some making out and cute words?" Koala whined as the group climbed out of the car. "Damn, I was expecting some serious dirt. Guess the big bad Law is actually kind of sweet." She teased with a smirk. You rolled your eyes at their comments- Law was sweet. It was one of the things you loved about him- even though if you ever called him that he would deny it to no end.
You and the girls got out and started grabbing your bags- as you walked up the steps you noticed Shanks' car out front. Smiling you and the others piled into the house, making your way to the kitchen where your Grandmother was sitting with your Uncle, Shanks and Beckman- laughing about something, they all smiled when they saw you girls walk in.
Shanks grinned, lifting his beer in greeting. "Well, look who finally decided to show up! Had to have some girl talk on the way, huh?" His smirk was downright mischievous, eyes twinkling as if he already knew exactly what you'd been discussing in the car. Your grandmother chuckled, shaking her head fondly. "You girls must be starving after all that travel. Sit, eatâwe just ordered pizza." Vivi, never one to miss an opportunity, sidled up to Shanks with a smirk of her own. "Oh, we were just getting some very interesting updates about our girl here and a certain grouchy guitarist." Your face burned as Shanks barked a laugh, slapping the table. "Oh I have no doubt-" he said, throwing a teasing smile in your direction. This would be a long week.
Law sat restlessly on his bed,his bag was packed and Beposâ stuff was too. Bepo, his ever-loyal cat, purred beside him, nudging his hand for attention he couldnât fully give. His phone buzzedâa text from Ace-
Ace: The carâs packed and weâre starving. Stop moping and get your ass downstairs.
Law exhaled sharply through his nose- Another buzz. Sabo this timeâa picture of the group waiting in the driveway, Luffy mid-swallow of a burrito like some kind of starved animal. The caption-
Sabo: If we donât get there by morning like I told Koala we would and I get in trouble because you wonât stop being emo, Iâm telling her itâs your fault.
Lawâs jaw clenched. He grabbed Bepo gently and put him in his carrier, zipping it shut before throwing his duffel bag over his shoulder- grabbing his guitar and the carrier to head downstairs, maybe this week, under the summer stars at that stupid lake house, heâd finally stop being a coward. No, he was done running- he wouldn't run this time.
After dinner and Shanks and Beckman left, your grandmother helped you girls as best she could to make beds on the floor in your room like you did in high-school. All of you were giddy with excitement for spring break, none of you quite wanting to sleep just yet. You all sprawled across the makeshift nest of blankets and pillows, the glow of fairy lights casting a warm hue over the room as laughter bubbled up between you. Nami, ever the instigator, flopped onto her stomach and propped her chin in her hands, grinning like a shark.
"Okay, soâhypothetically," she began, wiggling her eyebrows, "if Law finally does confess this week- what's your ideal scenario?" Vivi squealed, rolling onto her side to face you. "Ooooh, yes! Sunset on the dock? Midnight by the bonfire? Orâ" she gasped, "what if he sings for you? Iâd actually die." Koala fake-swooned into a pillow. "Ugh, thatâs so romantic. I bet heâd do it tooâ Sabo told me heâs been practicing."
Your stomach flipped. "Waitâwhat?!"
Kaya giggled at your panicked expression. "You heard her. So. Hypothetically." She threw a pillow at your head. "Whatâs your move when it happens?" You groaned, hiding your face in a pillow as their laughter rose around you. God, this week was going to be the death of you.
You thought about it- what would it be? You blushed at the thought.
"I don't know-" you said thoughtfully, "I guess it really wouldn't matter, I mean we do couple stuff all the time anyway, maybe something sentimental?" you say, your voice trailing off in thought. Nami leaned forward, resting her chin in her hands curiously. "Like what?" Vivi grinned, her brown eyes sparkling. "Is it cheesy and sweet? Or something more- passionate?"
You groaned, feeling your face heat up with blush as the girls cackled at your embarrassment. "Câmon, spill." Koala teased. "I want ALL the little details. Leave nothing out." You thought about one of your favorite things to do with Law in high-school was to go up to the cliffs that overlooked the lake. Being in a somewhat small town came with some perks, one of them being there was hardly any light pollution. Almost every night was clear enough to see the sky perfectly. The cliffs were a very popular hangout/smoke spot and you and Law would go almost every weekend in high-school. He would come pick you up in his adopted dads old truck he let Law use and you would park at the edge and lay in the back to watch the stars. Sometimes Law would bring his guitar and play softly as the two of you smoked, you would hold the joint for him as he played. Sometimes he would bless you and sing- always your favorites. You blush at the memory, maybe it would be nice to do that again.
"Maybe the cliffs? Like we use too in high-school. We could sit in the back and stare at the stars," you say with a thoughtful twinkle in your eyes as you recall the memory out loud to your friends. Having never told them about this before. The girls all cooed at that, Nami and Vivi both grinning warmly. "Oh, thatâs romantic." Nami teased, nudging you with a wink. Koala sighed dramatically, "That is so cute." Kaya grinned, "And so perfect for Law. Simple and sentimental." Vivi rolled onto her stomach, her tone turning teasing. "Plus, with how much that man smokes, you know heâll have weed ready." She said with a laugh.
All of you giggled at that remark, suddenly you felt your phone go off next to you. It was a picture from Ace- oh boy. You clicked into it and your heart melted- it was a picture of Law who was fast asleep, they had let Bepo out of the carrier while in the rental and he was curled into a ball on his chest. Laws' hands wrapped protectively around the feline. You felt your heart squeeze with adoration at it. Then your phone buzzed again with a follow up text-
Ace: I haven't seen him this peaceful since before you left- we will be at Corasâ in about 4 hours to drop Bepo off then we will be heading to the lake house.
You couldnât help the dopey grin that spread across your face, your fingers brushing over the screen like you could reach through it and trace the sharp lines of Lawâs sleeping expression. The girls immediately pounced on your reaction. "Ohhhh my god,â Nami crowed, snatching the phone from your hands as you squawked in protest. "Look at him! Thatâs disgustingly soft. I didnât even know his face could do that." Koala fake-gagged, clutching her chest. "Ew. Heâs whipped. Look at him, holding that cat like itâs his entire heart." Vivi wiggled her eyebrows, voice dropping to a theatrical whisper. "Imagine how heâll hold you after he finally stops being a dumbass and confesses."
You yanked your phone back, cheeks flaming, but you couldnât stop staring at the photo. Four more hours. Four more hours, and heâd be here. Your thumb hovered over the keyboardâshould you text him? No. Let him sleep. Youâd see him tomorrow.
And this time? You wouldnât let either of you chicken out.
AN: And that is chapter 6! Whew, talk about emotional rollercoaster. Please lmk if I should do a Law singing to reader scene bc I am a sucker please give me an exsuce to do it. As always thank you for the support and until next chapter! Xoxo
