now that people are weighing in about shamrock since his appearance has reached the masses, i think my opinion of him stays the same to this day. i think in some of my earlier analyses i had gotten the speech bubbles wrong, specifically thinking shamrock was calling the world alien, but instead, it was shanks. my point still stands though since shanks was using language that probably appealed to shamrock and made sense to him, and it still saddens me that he has no idea what a life outside of the holy land is like. the more that ive thought about it, the more that i think had shamrock been in a different environment, his priorities would have been different. with the new chapters coming out, im not sure if oda is also setting up any more tragedy to strike given gunko's new backstories. it just makes you think.... anyway.
