I know I don’t know as much as doctors or specialists…but I know my dad. I know his health history…just because he’s 71 does not mean this shit is just an aging thing for him. I knew it was more than age and it’s finally been confirmed after months. I wasn’t over reacting or too young!!! There was something wrong in his body!!!

And now we have to trust the same specialist who wanted to put off the scans that I pushed for. And the thing is…I think he’s smart. I think he’s knowledgeable and good at explaining medical terminology to people who don’t have training. But in the back of my head I’m always going to be thinking “would he say this if my dad was only 50 or 40?” “Would he be more aggressive about this?” “Would he offer more?”
