These were very intentional, very deliberately written scenes and episodes. Dont let anyone fool you, the budget had little to nothing to do with it bc need I remind us all -it's based off of a book!! 90% of the work is done for you! And most of the actors on this series are theatre kids; if you'd placed them all in one room they probably couldve improvised an entire seasons worth of content that was better than what was actually written.
