Volturi Kings - Relationship headcanons - SFW
My first request! Pour the wine and let’s throw a bacchanal.
Requested by anonymous: “volturi kings relationship headcanons. sfw and nsfw if possible” NSFW headcanons will follow in a separate post.
Before we begin, I tend to play loose and fast with canon. This is my interpretation of the characters. I also have no self control, which means short, sweet and to the point headcanons and I do not get along.
I strive to keep things as gender neutral as possible! If you want something specific please make that clear when you request.

I think Aro finding the other half of his soul, his significant other that was his equal in all things… would shake the man to his core. This man has seen empires fall and now it feels like his very own has been built on sand.
Aro is a true gentleman, a gentleman with a lot of eccentricities… but a gentleman none the less so he is going to do this right so help him.
Regardless of if they are human or not there is a lot of respect put upon his significant other when it becomes apparent who they are to him.
Meanwhile his mind is going a mile a minute trying to figure out all potential threats and enemies who would gladly take advantage of this new situation. Aro, after all; has done many a foul thing to get to where he is today.
Will take care of not physically touching you skin to skin in the beginning because this is a genuine courtship. While he is greatly tempted to learn everything about you, he would like this to happen as organically as it possibly can. Even if he is the de facto ruler of vampire kind.
I can picture this man taking them to the opera for a romantic outing.
Will write the longest and detailed love letters and poems for his beloved.
Now this is still Aro, with all his eccentricities..so you will be on you’re toes always.
PDA from his significant other is more than welcome while around his coven, but if he is performing his kingly duties he expects them to show the same type of professionalism he does.
Will give them all sorts of nicknames in languages long forgotten.
If this frustrates them he will simply give one of those little smiles filled with so much mirth and say: “Ah, perhaps you should leave for the library and discover for yourself the words I speak” “Aro you asshole.”
It’s safe to say whoever has Aro’s affection will never be bored.
Aro’s love is a grand and deep love, the kind the great poets write about.

I believe the coven is everything to him. And he will protect it and you until he burns and crumbles to ash.
It’s safe to say that if anyone hurt his significant other in any capacity that hell has no fury like Caius on the warpath for revenge.
Caius being the most restless of the kings means he his out and about with the guard more often than his brothers are. It didn’t matter if he was going to be away for two days or two months; he would always seek his significant other out for a private moment and give them a hungry kiss filled with passion and need. As if it could be their last kiss.
Out of all the kings I picture him as most prone to jealousy. That being said. He is secure in his relationship with his significant other. What they share cannot be rivaled by any other. But that does not mean he will not make it abundantly clear to unsuspecting suitors that you are very much taken.
Would paint his significant others portrait multiple times (see my artist Caius headcanons) They are his greatest muse. His quarters are littered with little pieces of art either of them or things that remind him of the love of his life.
I see Caius being the most private out of the kings, not a person for extensive PDA. Their hand gently brought to his lips so he kiss their knuckles, a firm hand on your waist and multiple meaningful glances across crowded rooms.
Sticks to simple romantic nicknames while in private like “love” and “dear”. If Caius is feeling especially affectionate late one night he might slip into some ancient tongue that’s murmured against your skin.
While a good portion of the world only saw Caius for his ambition, pragmatism and temper… his significant other gets to see the man behind the curtain that feels deeply… perhaps too much.
Caius’ love is a passionate love, an all consuming love.

Marcus just knew, from the moment he saw his significant other that something truly extraordinary had occurred. Using his gift to see what kind of potential their bonds had was unnecessary.
If Aro’s passion is the written word, Caius’ a painted canvas, then Marcus’ is music. While he does not sing, his skills with the piano is unparalleled. Will dedicate several sonatas to you that almost bring tears back to a vampire’s eternally frozen eyes.
He puts Edwards piano playing to shame,
His embrace’s would be the softest and comforting, and if his significant other is still human he would make sure to always wear enough clothes so he doesn’t siphon away all their warmth as they held on to one another.
I can see Marcus being fine with PDA for the most part, much like Aro he would want to keep up professional appearances when need be. Any other time it is not uncommon to see him and his significant other hand in hand. He is especially fond of gently cradling their face, leaning down and placing the softest of kisses on their lips.
Marcus does not play around with the protection of his lover. Their safety is his greatest priority and he will go to great lengths to make sure his mind is at ease.
Would affectionately nickname his significant other “the light of his life”, because they truly lit up every part of him that had dwelled in darkness for so long.
Marcus’ love is a pure love, a peaceful and secure love.
Marcus deserves to be happy goddamn it I feel for him so bad.
