blurb based of âyou broke me firstâ by Tate McRae
Walking down the street with his hands stuffed in his pockets, hoodie pulled over, barely shielding him from the cold splatter of rain drops falling.
His thoughts started going back to earlier that night.
âI made a mistake baby...â
âwhyâd u call me here y/n?â
âI- I DONâT KNOW HARRISON!â
âYou're drunk at this party or maybe it's just that your car broke down. Isnât that why you called me yln?â
Her silence proved him right.
All she wanted was a ride back home, and here he thought heâd finally get the closure he needed.
A few months back when she ghosted him, he didnât realise until it was too late.
He kept waiting for her in the diner where she promised him they would meet.
He sat there at the corner booth where they would sit every time they came here. He watched the hours go by...
The kind man who ran the diner shot him apologetic looks every once in awhile, but Harrison payed no mind, he believed she would come. Sheâd promised him after all. He trusted her. He loved her.
Days passed without any contact from her. He looked for her, asked all their friends , but nobody had any clue. Even when his friends tried to make him realise that sheâs gone, he didnât listen.
Now that he was out of denial, he finally sees it clearly. She wasnât who he thought she was. She and Harrison wanted different things in life. She realized that and left before Harrison got a chance to say anything about it. It all happened so quickly. Everything passed in a blur and now months later she calls him, drunk at a party, saying she wants him back.
â I donât care how bad it hurts but you broke me first y/n.â
As he walked away, she screamed at him
âI HATE YOU HARRISON, YOU NEVER LOVED ME!â
Hearing this he immediately turned around...
âI never loved you y/n..? I know, youâre like this. When shit donât go your wayyou needed me to fix it , and like me,
I did but I now Iâve ran out of every reason.
Now suddenly youâre asking for it back..
could you tell me whereâd you get the nerve?â
He looked her dead in the eye one last time before turning around and walking away. He heard her call his name out but he kept walking.
Harrison snapped back to reality as the rain started pouring more heavily. He quickened his pace as he walked back home trying to forget all about her.
