1. my TA, Ralph, shot his girlfriend’s abusive ex in the foot

2. abusive ex was also a sex offender

3. he shot him when ex came buy to pick some stuff up from girlfriend and tried to take some of Ralph’s items as well

4. ex is stable and alive in a hospital

he is whiter then snow. this man is pure 100% american redneck in everything but the politics. this is intimidating if you dont know him because he owns like 3 different guns but also has animated discussions about “how his sister should be able to get married” when you bring up lgbt rights. his sister isnt even gay or trans or anything, he just thinks that LGBT rights also means that the lady should propose when she wants to. hes a little confused but he got the spirit. upon finding out that i am queer he said, word for word “THATS FUCKING RADICAL HOMIE” 

in the first week of school he snorted a line of pepper in the cafeteria and threw up.

the only other crime hes committed before was accidently dropping a weight from his balcony and cracking the sidewalk. which is technically destruction of public property but the judge basically laughed at him and have him 10 hours of community service

And while this is happening while people are buried under rubble, while children freeze in tents, while entire families vanish overnight powerful men sit comfortably and present plans for a “New Gaza.”

Clean slides. Perfect buildings. Investment numbers. A future imagined without the people who are currently being erased.

They talk about peace while bombs are still falling. They talk about rebuilding while destruction is ongoing. They draw maps over land that is soaked with blood and call it hope.

The ceasefire is a lie.

What’s happening is ethnic cleansing, repackaged with the language of development and diplomacy. You cannot build a “new” city by destroying the people who belong to it. You cannot promise a future while actively killing the present.

This isn’t peace. It’s violence with better branding.

Today, three journalists were killed in a single airstrike.

Not soldiers. Not fighters. Journalists. People who believed that if they kept documenting, if they kept filming, if they kept writing, the world would eventually care.

In Gaza, telling the truth has become one of the most dangerous things you can do. Holding a camera is treated like holding a weapon. Every photo risks your life. Every report could be your last.

They had names. Families. People waiting for them to come home. They were not numbers, and they were not mistakes. They were silenced because truth is inconvenient, because images expose what statements try to hide.

When journalists are killed, it’s not just lives that are lost it’s evidence. It’s memory. It’s the last barrier between reality and denial.

i don't think that they need to write an extraordinary post or make a catchy comic or post pictures of their starving children to be able to raise money for their families. it is dehumanising.

alaa has been fundraising for more than a year and still hasn't raised 50% of her goal. please be generous to her and her young children so that they can survive in gaza. her fundraiser is verified.

Misunderstanding: I said the appointment was at 7 and check-in is half an hour early, meaning I had to be there at 6:30, but you thought I meant that the appointment was at 7:30 and I had to be there at 7.

Obfuscation: I said that I have appointments at 4, 7 and 9 today and then a handful more tomorrow, nothing is too important, no worries.

Lack of Communication: I won't tell you when the appointment is, if I've even told you there's an appointment at all.

Lie: I said that the appointment was at 5.

For two days I don’t know what to write to you. Every moment I write and then delete the post. I don’t know what to talk to you about. Should I talk about the hunger we are experiencing?

Shall I talk about the bombing and massacres that are committed every day and every night? Because of the intensity of the bombing, I hug my children, fearing that morning will not come to us.
