interesting how when i was briefly presecribed lamictal i was warned to look out for a rash and stop taking it inmediately if i got one due to risk of getting stevens-johnson sydrome (skin falling off which occurs in .04% of patients but when i have been prescribed other drugs that can cause sjs such as bactrim and other common antibiotics you dont get the same warning....i cannot find any numbers on how common it is the get sjs from bactrim i would just have to assume its less common and thats why they dont tell you?

The fun part of this was that i DID get a rash so i stopped taking it immediately. Just a regular allergic reaction rash not the skin falling off one. I have to wonder if i somehow placebo effected myself but here is my question: would my brain in placeboing me a rash use my own mental image of what a rash looks like? Bc the one i got was little red dots around my upper chest and collarbone and underarms and thats NOT what i picture when i think of rash. I picture big blotchy red areas. Or does the brain just go ok: placebo rash activate and then it selects rash type at random?
