Hello Tumbrl! I have a new update for the TF Zine we're creating! Two new artists added to the crew and I can show you first sneak peek! oh, what a way to start off pride month :"-)
i genuinely cried tears of joy when i saw the post of killer in a trans jacket; even more so when i saw superyoumna's drawings of these two in pride outfits.
when the posts about recognizing the trans allegory with cross were made, i was so estatic for one of the most popular and influential sanses to be at least trans-coded & drawn to show support, if not actually canonly trans. then those posts were deleted, erased after a little while, with no further outward word or support towards the community from jakei. it was a hurtful disappointment that made the support seem insincere.
to see killer confirmed to be trans and with a gay man, without any cowardice or shame ā no backpedaling, or hesitation ā makes me so happy and seen, as i'm sure many other trans UTMV fans feel too because of this. in a time where hatred and fear towards transgender people is at an a terrifying high, all of us around the world are going through horrible hardships. representation of us in media is becoming less and less common, because it's not "trendy" to support us anymore. so as a trans person, thank you. š

Trying to make my own transformers redesigns+human vers, heres starscream first since he my favorite from gen1
This is a MegaStar Gemformers collection.
Starscream is a star-shaped pearl in different colors, and Megatron is an Obsidian.(G1/cyberversāFire Obsidianļ¼TFPāRainbow Obsidian; SGāBlue Sheen Obsidian)
I picked Obsidian for Mega mainly because I once watched a SU analysis on YouTube saying that non-fusion Obsidians seem to be more like army-based construction workers ā basically labor-class Gems. Not super high in status, but very powerful. And since we also see Snowflake Obsidian having some unique abilities in the show, it just felt like a really good fit.
As for Starscreamā¦ no explanation needed. Pearl-coded from the start š āØ
And their fusions will be likeā¦
I donāt think I have time to draw these but itās fun to think about it.
