This fandom does not give a fuck about age gaps because if they did, they wouldn’t be shipping Alastor or anyone else with Lucifer—who is older than the earth itself. Charlie has like maybe 100+ years on Alastor but he’s been dead for almost a century now and he died a full grown man so it really doesn’t matter

but what i find weird as hell is when the person in question rates a couple as "bad" "manipulative" "toxic" and in the same breath somehow ship something far worse.

like what the helly?

it comes across as incredibly media illiterate but also heavy bias, how are you going to say 🦌🌈 is bad but in the same breath ship 📻📺? (which is toxic yaoi and you cannot tell me otherwise)

It's the lack of self awareness and high levels of irony that it's more funny than annoying.

🦌🌈 isn't incest as they are not blood related nor do they even have a fatherly/daughter bond with each other, creator of the show even said in an interview that 🦌 said this to 🍎 to piss him off (and it worked).

i also find it really odd many people seem to think this is 🦌🌈's dynamic when you don't coerce your daughter into a deal of which "you need to do me one favour but cannot do anything" this could lead to a number of things and one of which 🌈 may not have been able to intervene if 🦌 chose to kill someone 🌈 was close to. (also the deal scene had very heavy tension, you do not act like that toward your daughter).

the last part was the lack of romance, which i guess each to their own but if your basis for shipping is romance only i'd hope you would hold yourself to the same standard (them being a 📻📺 shipper). 📻📺 does not have any inclination to romance at all (it is very toxic yaoi with a heavy one-sided obsession which obsession is not love, heavy sexual abuse i.e forcing someone to watch you have sex which 📺 does in the show, even a hint of actual assault by 📺 saying 📻 has no tail, blowing aphrodisiac smoke in 📻 face, like this is not romantic at all i'm sorry man - this is also not a personal attack personally? i don't ship this but if it's your cup of tea i'm happy for you i genuinely could not be paid to care over what someone ships, shipwars are best lead by teenagers).

i won't ignore that 📺 had genuine feelings for 📻 but what he has now is deep rooted obsession and fixated hatred (this is not romantic at all but.. each to their own i guess!).

it's a very weird contrarian mindset to be having on this topic and the only image i can think of is the goomba fallacy image.

(it didn't help that most of what was said really was giving the "curtains were blue" argument in the face of not looking deep enough into said scenes (and even characters themselves which is a very vapid way to think, 🦌 is not sephiroth bro, although 🦌 can be aloof when it comes to who he is, he's also like that with everyone as well as being manipulative to everyone) and came across as someone who hasn't watched the show and only through clips.)
