I finally have an idea for a longer Freemance Fic. (Probably about five chapters or so, but we’ll see where the plot takes me).
The basic premise/concept is that Gordon has consistent nightmares where he’s reunited with Alyx but then she’s gravely injured or dies in some horrible way, every time, and no matter what he does he can’t stop it.
In the waking world he is also struggling with crippling morphine withdrawals and severe anxiety. :(
So…. Angsty Freemance, goooooo! :(
Thinking about Gordon growing his hair out again, post HL2. As it gets longer, Alyx loves playing with it and running her fingers through it when they kiss.

Y’all remember that scene in HL2:EP 2 where Gordon jumps down that hole and then the one rebel guy asks Alyx, “So, uh… is that your boyfriend?”
And there’s no Alyx voiceline scripted after that?
But I just know that, in her head, she’s like, “Yeah. That’s my boyfriend. :)”
That’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it, dammit.
I’m now writing a Freemance Fic / oneshot based on the music video for “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence. It won’t be a song fic, I just think the music video is awesome and angsty and fits them to a T.
Must make more Freemance food.
I’m hungry.
If there are no more Freemance shippers I am dead.
