I think part of the reason I’m so obsessed with MXTX’s works is the way that each story seems to hold you gently as say “Your kindness mattered. It didn’t alleviate the suffering, it did not undo the pain. But your kindness mattered.”

Ok, I am now much further along and am seeing those hints of future angst people talked about. I am also loving this absolute lunatic of a protagonist. What do you meeeaaann you "hated" this man so much that you regularly slept with him, and unconsciously kissed him sweetly when you're half asleep and think you're back in that timeline, and can't stop thinking about him at every waking moment? What a guy. What an absolute lunatic. Sir, you are only a mere inch above Shen Qingqiu on my scale of oblivious protagonists, and that is only because you've at least recognized your sexuality.
