Hwæt!
Welcome to the author blog of Shannon Purdy Jones. I'm a bisexual writer and bookseller descended from a smattering of poor European US immigrants, currently the steward of a garden and home on the unceded lands of the Eno, Catawba, and Sissipahaw Nations. I post about books, writing, dead languages, ancient societies, traditional fiber arts, and other topics of questionable commercial merit.
My current novel-in-progess is Wyrd Weaving, a queer historical fantasy centering the experiences of women in Germanic Europe, Baltic Europe, and East Asia in the 830sCE.
If tumblr's search function is working you can find my writing-related posts under the #my writing tag, and my attempts at various fiber art projects under #my art. I sometimes remember to tag fiber arts and history reblogs with the appropriate medium or historical era, but the rest of my reblogs are a tangle of pure chaos I would strongly advise against attempting to sort by logical means.
I am GrownTM, grumpy, and uninterested in Discourse. This a proudly sex-positive, trans-lgbtq+-indigenous-and-poc loving blog. Anyone who brings hateful, discriminatory, or puritanical nonsense here will be blocked. But obviously you are the coolest if you've read this far so it won't be an issue.
