Headcanon: Luis is the only Madrigal with a repeat gift, and sometimes he feels like the Miracle cheated him out of getting a cool new power. He's had nothing but hand-me-downs his whole life (he has seventeen cousins!) and he just wanted something uniquely his. He loves being strong, but he's already his mother's little clone and his gift doesn't help his family see him as anything but an extension of her. That's why he jumped at the chance to go to school so far away from home. (And he STILL gets it from strangers.)
