Very funny to me that Max is willing to be a pickpocket and do things a lot of Isle kids would be used to, but still very much thinks his dad is doing way too much. Like yeah causing some mischief is fun but let's not try to take over a whole kingdom.

whole heartedly believe that max DOES need glasses (considering the fact we see old tl max with glasses) they just choose not to wear them or never got it checked out cause of being raised on the isle and didnt want to get their eyesight checked while in wonderland / auradon
Just watched Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. Spoilers below the cut.
Initial thoughts: WAY better than Rise of Red, but it was still kinda mid. The songs were really good this time though. Even the ones I didn’t like as much were decent. Maddox’s song was my favorite, but Luis and Red’s was SO good. It’s been a long time since Disney had a decent love song like that.
Characters: The Smees, Robbie, and Felix were all completely unnecessary. They should’ve been cut all together. Felix and Hazel being Facilliar’s son and Hook’s daughter is just dumb. Firstly, this the FOURTH child of Hook that has been created (Harriet and CJ are the name’s of the other two. Harriet appears in Descendants: Wicked World, an animated show which released before the second movie. And CJ is exclusive to the books). Secondly, giving other characters a chance to have children would be so cool. Like Judge Frollo or Prince John. (Could’ve cut the Smee’s and Felix, swapped Hazel with the son of Prince John, and made Robbie relevant).
Max is hot, also I think he was well written. I’m like 75% sure that Maddox was said to be the Mad Hatter’s kid in Rise of Red though, but I could be misremembering.
What the fuck is up with Chessy? What is her deal? Why is she working with Maddox? Why does she want to stir shit up? And how does she know about the events of the last movie? Literally what the fuck. If it weren’t for the way she turned everyone against Red, I’d say she was unneeded.

The urge to write a Rise of Red amendment of Red being horribly jealous of Max having a good relationship with his dad in the previous timeline, and willingly throwing him under the bus for her own happiness. That would make his anguish during 'Heartless' have so much more emotional weight.
