Alfred Pennyworth has a lot of jobs in the Wayne Manor—some stranger than others. One that falls to him with each new addition in the house: etiquette training. As a butler, this shouldn’t be a difficult lesson. Because this is Wayne’s brood, it is an…experience.

“Master Richard, flipping off the stairs to make an entrance is not acceptable at a Gala. Nor is using the chandeliers as a trapeze; you are not the dinner entertainment.”

“Master Jason, kindly return the silverware to the table instead of your pocket. I am happy to find you something else to…hold on to rather than my silver dining set.”

“Master Timothy, this is an informal event. While proper manners are a sign of good breeding, the formality is laying it on a bit thick.”

“Master Damian, knives are for cutting your food. You will not need to assassinate your dinner partner.”

“Master Duke, simply ignore anything else your family does at the dinner table and you will do just fine.”

And now there’s a new teen sitting at the dining table, being instructed on etiquette for formal events.

“Master Danny, you do not need to spear your meatloaf as if this is a jousting match. Try adjusting your hold to wrap around the handle like so, instead.” Alfred holds up his own utensil to demonstrate.

Danny Fenton, the most recent addition hanging around Wayne Manor, does not look convinced.

“It is not going to come alive and bite you,” Alfred tries again.

“Shows what you know.”

The grumble is low enough he’s not supposed to hear it, so Alfred lets it pass. It’s certainly not the worst thing grumbled at him during family lessons.

Danny stabs his meatloaf with the correct grip while massacring it with the accompanying knife.

So Danny comes to Gotham. Down on his luck. But lo and behold, he still has access to the kingly vaults! He doesn't have to worry about money!!! He can just buy a small apartment and live out his miserable little life In luxury!

But then he is stopped on a horrible and a dark stump in his plan. How in the 7 hells is he gonna explain it to the IRS ??????

Money laundering????

Can't he just say he found a mysterious big pile of gold and be done with it?

No, Danny . How are you gonna explain the fact that you keep finding mysterious little gold files to the tax man . Jazz says emphatically through a video call . Which is a multi dimensional cuz I can't explain why sam wont just give him the money. And btw the just assume that the vaults has a magic function to give the money to him in the local currency.

Sso from that day onwards Gotham had a new little cafe in a quiet little nook. The prices are super cheap. And it by far has the best fudge in all of Gotham. If you exclude Alfred's.

The gothamites love it. It's a favorite college hangout. Everyone is pretty sure the cafe is a front. Everyone is 100% sure of it. But in this economy who the hell cares. At least it's not nfts.

People can actually benefit from this because we can get like a whole breakfast for like 4 dollars ( an au where like Danny's 2000s world is like super cheap compared to the modern Gotham city and nobody taught the poor boy common prices of this world. Danny's thinking like how do I keep accidentally going into these rich people stores with their ridiculous prices, Ughh guess I'll have to buy this I don't want to go farther) and the quality is good too. The scrawny little twink owner sure as hell does not know much about ingredients prices or did the bare minimum study of business.

He even just reaches his hand out and is able to reach directly into his vault in the zone when he wants to and pulls out a handful of gold coins that suddenly changes into normal cash.

The Bats know magical shenanigans when they see them and all they do is ask some of the JLD to take a quick look into it to make sure it’s all fine.

I like to think JLD either somewhat it aquatinted with Danny at this point or knows of him enough to realize that he’s the Ghost King but also just a sweet kid. But they do warn the Bats that, that guy is the Ghost King and a baby Ancient and if anything happens to him they’re gonna have soooo many pissed of Ancient beings coming at them.

The Bats become paranoid of anything happening to the cafe guy that they have a rotating watch on him. Which just stresses them out more cause Fenton luck means Danny is constantly stumbling into dangerous situations.
