I've been out of the gym for so long due to personal reasons and I'm super anxious about going back for some reason. Is this normal? Does anyone have any advice on getting back into the swing of things?

The reality. I'm 5'8 and 96kg. This is my body at the start of my 5x5 training. I've got a lot to work on and I'm looking forward to every second of it. But right now, I'm happy. I'm happy with where I've got to, I've lost a load of weight since leaving uni and now I have more time to focus on myself I plan on changing my body a lot more. There's no point on focusing on the negatives of your body, think about everything you've achieved as opposed to anything you can't do. Everything is a work in progress.

I have a lifting question
So I want to get back into lifting big, building for mass. But this time around I’m actually going to eat properly and be as dedicated as I can. But I also want to start again so I get it right. Where do I begin?
I got into lifting by starting lifting with a buddy of mine who, well, lifts. He showed me the ropes and helped me get the confidence to do stuff on my own! I suggest seeing if anyone in your life lifts already, and then work with them if they’re willing to show you some.
In addition to that, I think the best way to start out is to copy someone else’s lifting routine. Either use a program or just steal what someone else does. Look around and see what you can find.Â
I also got a lot of inspiration from this: http://liamrosen.com/fitness.html. There are a number of workouts linked within the article, though be aware that some of the language is abrasive (it’s the 4chan /fit sticky lol, it’s gonna be a little rough sometimes).Â
