Started the 5/3/1 program today, modified to remove deadlifts due to fear of re-injury. BUT the plan is to reintroduce deadlifts in the 2nd wave of this program, after heavy form research and additional core & back strengthening accessory work over the next 4 weeks.
I just haven’t been progressing as well as I would like to be, partially due to life + school being crazy. But I also think I’m plateauing a little bit and like I need a new routine to keep me on track.
Also, trying a powerlifting approach and no weight loss--I dropped about 10 lbs since Christmas and physically I’d like to slap on some more muscle (I think it’ll help with derby).
