then think about  young girls who are taken to ISIS camps to become their brides and be raped. and then think about female fetuses in China who are aborted.

what does gender mean in those contexts - in those countries? is gender something you can explore, bend, twist for those people? if the answer is no, why not? how is gender used in those countries?
