my weekend assigned readings are quite diverse … from jane eyre, to lolita, to twilight … yes, i am rereading twilight for an assignment. the wonders of doing an arts degree.

hands are wonderful things | i rearranged the stack of books on the plant stand beside my desk because my autumn reads were not getting read. switched ‘em out and picked some of my prettiest books for a little ‘last of 2019′ pile

appreciating not having to be on campus today, friends! switched out the lemon ginger tea with honey that i’ve been guzzling all morning for a cup of coffee to get me through some readings (”and maybe,” she said hopefully, “even a bit of conference writing?”). breaking my own rule about not studying in bed so i can have the comfort of bed while sick & grumpy and studying. hozier’s new ep is playing in the background (thank u chelsea you’re the best) and i’m not content exactly but i’m… good? i am good

it’s determinedly dark & gloomy this morning, so i’ve turned on lamps and poured myself a hot cup of coffee and i’m diving into wild magic for the umpteenth time now that i’ve finished protector of the small (which somehow manages to get more and more incredible with every re-read, and this was no exception)

been (very slowly) working on the living room this summer and our lil coffee table finally arrived today! along with my new glass teapot! i’m thrilled! trying to hold onto this enthusiasm as i embark on my umpteenth attempt to actually read tess all the way through

oh. oh yes. i think i could get used to this view / working in bed because this used to be my work space and… it works. fingers crossed it won’t mess with my precious sleeping hours but so far so good!
