reluctantly expanding my limited knowledge of sports to include soccer. please send thoughts and prayers. current knowledge level is based on playing midfield as a kid, where i was most often found:

half-assedly running after the ball so my best friend's dad (also known as the coach) would stop yelling at me

pretending i had a stomach ache so my mom would see and ask the coach to pull me

being annoyed that my mom and the coach both knew i was faking so they never did

sprinting but only so i could check on anyone who fell down, including players on the other team, and usually as the ball was flying right by me
