judging by the amount of eggs I follow who have a bone-deep fascination with guns, swords, cyberpunk, mecha anime, milsci, and cronenbergian body horror, I ask the question of the transfems orbiting this blog; do you love these things because through the cold cruelty of their dehumanized mechanisms grants you some measure of catharsis from a world that says "How dare you long to be the opposite of harsh and unfeeling," or did you just grow up loving these things in the time before the world hated you just because you learned the truth about yourselves they weren't ready to hear

I *think* I love everything made of metal (especially anything cast) because it allows something to be simultaneously sleek, beautiful, elegant, and in a number of cases distinctly feminine (all things I want desperately to be) while also being strong, fast, powerful, and nigh on invulnerable (things my immensely messed up brain demands I be to protect myself from the world) so yeah

using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold

As the OP of this post, I’m going to threaten that if this gets to one million notes by the 10 year anniversary on 1 June 2026, one year from today, I will get a lower back tattoo of the loch ness bear monster.
