Stupid Wizardry

Chapter 4 really hit me in the gut with all of its emotions, so I'm really glad I can draw some of this stuff out!

I'm also really glad I started to replay through all of the chapters, it's giving me some new inspiration in my art!

Tried drawing the file select screen background. I could've done better ngl, but I won't get into all what I could've improved on. At the end of the day, it was still really nice to draw. I just recently started replaying through all of the chapters again, and I legit got emotional before the game even started. Only because I was just staring at that background of Susie, Kris, and Ralsei standing before a dark fountain, and I just started thinking of what terrible things might happen in the future... God I love this game so freaking much.

Went back to my white paper for this one, I need a bit of a cleanse from my black paper. I really enjoyed this piece as well, I think I've started to realize that I REALLY like to draw in this sort of cutsie and happy art style!

Not my best work, if anything I actually feel a little disappointed by the third picture, BUT I made it with zero references. That's pretty good for the long term, as it shows I actually am building upon my fundamentals a little bit! I'd probably improve even faster if I finally decided to watch some videos and take come courses but ehhhhhhhhh I'm too lazy and I have a lot of fun just teaching myself :3

Tried doing a mixed media thing where I used my white pen as an outline for his fluffy areas (aka just the head and hands) and then I filled it in with white charcoal. Definitely could've turned out better, especially with his hands, but I think the white charcoal actually gave him a nice fluffy texture. The robe is also pretty whatever, I need to find ways to improve on that.

I'm probably take a break from drawing Happy Chaos for a bit since this drawing took me WAY too long to put out, but we'll see what happens! More likely than not, I'll try to do some more Ralsei crap :)
