I think I'm getting better at blending colors! I was going to just leave it as the sketch I posted earlier, but I honestly couldn't stand looking at it so empty lol.
This was a pretty fun reference study! Official Final Fantasy art is really awesome, so it's really nice to just *look* at it and really study it! But now it's a matter of applying those studies to my original drawings.

"Team Four Star joke" anon here, and seeing my own ask again made me wonder: is Rags a fan of the "smash through a wall leaving a perfect silhouette of a hole" trope? Seems like something he'd do, especially during a chase - or to start one of the rarer cases where a playmate wants to be the chaser.
Oh 100%, that man loves a good Tom and Jerry reenactment :D His chases can go from silly to terrifying at the drop of a hat, and vice versa. He'll slapstick himself if it gets his playmate laughing.
But y'know who is really on top of that trope? Dragoon.
That jester literally functions on Toon logic. Smashes thru walls, emits their own cartoon SFX, applies the Toon-force magic of the four Dream clowns to pretty much anyone they interact with, so that they don't accidentally mangle them with their physics-defying shenanigans 👌

Series isn't really my thing, but the episode he was in is more or less the only episode I've ever seen. (I have also seen the 80s live action film but otherwise that's about it as far as my experience goes)
