That’s a sweet offer, but I wouldn’t want to put you out. I don’t mind paying for dinner, and the company would do me some good. It seems like you’ve had somewhat of a tough week. I won’t say no if you really want to cook, but going out is just as viable of an option on my end. I’ll leave the decision up to you, but if you do want to go out you’re welcome to pick the place.

I’m not doing anything, and I can cook if you’re still looking for a home-cooked meal. What a pair, huh? 

…That’s not the worst side effect, at least. I think you’d rock purple hair. I can think of a few people that could. Magic is incredible. 

See, that’s what I thought. I’m glad someone agrees with me, that means I’m not crazy. Or if I am, I have company. You’re right, it really is. Even if it is a bugger sometimes.

Really? That stinks for everyone else, then! That came out much more harshly than I meant it to, I only meant that I’m not in that group, surprisingly. The day has been long, but not bad necessarily. I’ve been working on a project that is admittedly taking a bit longer than anticipated, but I’m nearing done so I’m focusing on that. Are you one of the people having a bad night, Esme? Entertaining it is, more so now that I’m off the clock. I enjoy just flitting about, watching the chaos. I’m stumped, to tell you the truth. Every time we think we’ve got a handle on it, two more bookshelves go down. It’s thrilling, really. The Librarian, though….She’s not quite as amused. 

I guess that was a bit of an assumption, based on the way some people are talking. I am not, no. I don’t make a habit of having bad nights, I prefer to have fun so I choose to do that. I would offer my assistance, but I am sure you have people that are more qualified. Turns out, being a Lancre witch doesn’t automatically make me good at my magic.

I’ve been working so hard and such long hours recently, I think I deserve a little pick-me-up. A reward, of sorts. So, I’m thinking of having my lamp re-done. Anyone out there able to recommend a good interior decorator?

I can call my mom, I bet she’d know. Having an interior decorator on hand is pretty important when you live in a castle.

What a day, what a day. Happy Tuesday- or, Second Monday, however you like to look at things. This has been quite a productive day, if I do say so myself. Which I do, so it has been. In other news, whomever decided to charm their library book before returning it, please report to the Head Librarian immediately- she has some questions. Namely, how to catch the darn thing. 

There must be something in the water, it sounds like a bunch of people are having a bad night. I can’t lie though, that does sound entertaining at least. You’ll have a fun time figuring that one out.
