this is a really thought provoking question, thanks for the ask!!!

in my fic… he halfway believes. canon portrays will’s ending very sunnily and there’s not much indication of long term trauma in what we see of him in the epilogue, whereas in my fic, will still has demons to struggle with, so he’s definitely less optimistic in general. a part of him will always hope she’s alive, and that’s the side of himself he chose to show to mike that day, because he knew his best friend desperately needed him to agree, and because he does trust in mike.

however… fake or not, he still SAW el die in front of him. that’s the only tangible proof he has of her fate. with that in mind i don’t think it would be quite as easy for will to privately have faith in her survival. also, dead or not dead, she’s effectively dead in terms of the life she could’ve had and never will and i think the tragedy of that would weigh on will from time to time, especially because they were never that close.

Every chapter has been fantastic! From the way you write the characters to how the story progresses, it’s amazing!

I actually teared up with chapter 7, for both Will and Eric. I loved that it wasn’t a scandalous thing but a result of stagnancy and not entirely opening up on both parts. The end of the chapter felt so bittersweet, in the best of ways.

I adore Tony. His POV chapter is my second favorite, only after this last one.

I also love Francis and Val, they are beautiful people, full of life, absolutely wonderful additions to the ST world.

that is exactly what i was going for with the breakup!!! it would be too easy and obvious to have them break up because of will’s growing feelings for tony, but that really wasn’t the heart of the issue at all. will has so much left to do in order to find himself, and he can’t make himself settle for something that isn’t right, someone who he can never see himself opening up to. will really struggles with letting go of people, but there can be meaning in things that end. his time with eric helped him grow and see what he wanted, and that’s enough.

i’m so happy to hear you loved tony’s POV :) there will be more. i really wanted will to have a love interest who is just as fleshed out as him and really grew to adore writing tony along the way. francis and val, as well ❤️
