Beautifully done artwork of Katara, Suki, and Toph from ATLA with notes next to each about the traditional clothing that was referenced to draw them.

Katara is looking over her shoulder with a quizzical expression, with braided hair loopies and a half-up hairstyle. She wears a fur-lined parka with a crescent moon emblem and triangular patterning displayed on the shoulder of it. Next to the colored depiction of her is a simplistic messy sketch of Katara looking flustered and annoyed. The notes on her clothing read: “inspired by Inuit and Yupik clothing and patterns plus the water tribe blue”

Suki leans back nonchalantly, although the artist has drawn a few sweat drops that might mean she is slightly winded after some activity. Her short hair is messily pulled back in a half-up ponytail and she wears a patterned hachimaki headband with the ties secured on the side of her head instead of at the back. One teardrop shaped earring hangs from her ear. She wears studded leather armor and shoulder pauldrons over a green robe embroidered with gold details. Next to and below the colored depiction is a simple sketch of Suki(two exclamation points) with her arms crossed and a close-eyed pleased expression as well as a note that says: “inspired by Chinese and Japanese armor (with influence from canon design) plus Chinese embroidery patterns”

Toph grits her teeth in a fierce and angry-looking expression, her fists in motion like she is getting into horse-stance for earth bending. Her hair is in the iconic traditional bun with bangs and secured with a cloth headband with embroidered flowers. Tassel earrings swing with her sudden movements. She wears a light colored and slightly transparent shortsleeved jacket over her geometrically embroidered high waisted skirt in the tang dynasty qixiong ruqun style. To either side of her picture is a messy sketch of an angry and sharp-toothed Toph cracking her knuckles as well as a note reading: “inspired by traditional Chinese garments for women, uses Chinese embroidery patterns”
