Well, they need to get their heads out of their ass before Friday otherwise this entire trip will be a waste.
Well there's no need for you to worry. You're rooming with me. Guaranteed party. Just ask...well. Anybody.
Private: Violet
Violet frowned. She didn’t want to think about her letter. Mainly because whoever had wrote it wasn’t supposed to know what they knew and also, because it’d left her in kind of a funny way. The way it’d gone on about how people she surrounded herself with were using her, or how she always got her own way. In fairness, if somebody else read it, they would’ve probably seen both sides of the letter and agreed - for all of it was true - but Violet being Violet only saw the criticism ..Or, what she’d taken as criticism anyway.
"It was a bunch of stuff about how people around me aren’t always honest, or are using me. Nothing I really wanted to hear, to be honest." she said, "What about yours?"
"It was more about them than me, honestly. Saying that they lie all the time and stuff, but that they feel comfortable around me, and saying they were proud of me..." Sophia swallowed, finishing her food and tossing the trash into a bin they walked by. She shoved petite hands into her pockets and kept up with Violet's pace, the well dressed blonde seeming to lead the way despite Sophia being fairly certain they were just wandering around aimlessly.
"I wish I knew who wrote it though. Do you wish you knew who wrote yours?"
I know it’s only Wednesday, but no one seems all too excited about Vegas and it’s starting to bum me out. It’s fucking Vegas, not prison; you all should be stoked about this, even if you want to strangle your weekend roomies.
our fellow famehousers sometimes forget that the things they whine and complain about are the things that other people only dream of getting to do.
well, it's official
Fur-who?
furlough. indie flick i got approached about at hideout. i auditioned for the role i wanted and i got it, and they've got their funding and everything finally and shooting starts tomorrow. i'm so fucking pumped. its a take on the typical coming-of-age movie, but updated for today's twenty-something audience. comedy, drama, romance, but without all the bullshit. i play the best friend of the main male character. not the female lead, but the supporting role, and its so well written and just a lot different from what i'm used to with molly makepeace.

furlough starts shooting tomorrow.
so. fucking. excited.
sunday secrets
You play one of the main characters on Riots and Diets, am I right? You, like the rest of us, got that gig through being on the books of The Fame House, am I right? To be on the books of The Fame House you have to by law sign a contract for the sake of not only you but so the company can cover their own backs. Somewhere in a dusty filing cabinet in Marc’s office, I shit you not, there is one hundred percent a contract with your signature on it.
feel free to bring it up to him next time you see him.
don't be pissy just because i stopped buying from you. every time i get anything from you its shit. sorry love but you need a better supplier if you want to make it in the hollywood game.
sunday secrets
You’re still here, so clearly you’re ticking some boxes. I feel like you’re trying to tell me that I’m some mindless moneymaker and even if I am, you and your ‘rebellious’ streak probably generate triple the revenue. Not so Wilde now, are we?
i don't much care if i'm making the fame house money. i obviously am or i wouldn't be one of their clients. but i also have full control over the decisions i make. there's a reason i didn't sign a contract.
sunday secrets
You’re doing it again.
...being myself? i know its something your probably not accustomed to, working for the fame house and all, but a few of us don't just blindly do everything marc and alexis tell us to.

sunday secrets
Ok, lemme think, uh…Do you ever get bored of pretending to be rebellious?
"pretending"? i don't pretend to do anything. sometimes the fame house tries to make me seem more edgy than i really am, but i really don't listen to them. it's gotten me threats of getting kicked out, but i don't like to play their game. which...i guess makes me more rebellious in the end.
"—So I’ve been in the hospital for a total of twenty-three hours, and I haven’t been able to smoke once."
"This is the worst day of my life.”
eesh. what happened?
People you most admire from The Fame House and why?
admire huh? that's kind of a strong word for most of the people around here, don't you think? but there are a couple who fit the word i guess. i admire violet because she really cares about her fans, it's obvious. she never seems to get tired of talking to them or signing autographs or taking their gifts or just generally appreciating their support, and she works her ass off. and i admire wren. he's a great actor, better than some people give him credit for i think, and a pleasure to work with. he really cares about his coworkers and tries to make everyone happy. it's a nice change of pace with all the big egos that can come from being successful.
Private: Violet
It wasn’t that Violet felt as though she should have been put before anybody else, but, that’s how everything had played out pretty much since she arrived at Hollywood. If she wanted to go shopping, they’d clear out the shops. If she wanted to go and see a concert, she’d obviously be let in round the back. That was it. She was just used to people making her life more convenient to the point where it didn’t even seem like a grand gesture anymore, it was just life. And, considering that if life wasn’t like that, she’d forever have people hounding her with extremely awkward questions and saying things that she really didn’t want to hear, she wasn’t going to ask for it to be changed.
"Let’s eat and walk," she said, making a bee-line back out towards the park rather than looking for an empty table. Sitting still always made her anxious, especially in crowded places, hence why she absolutely dreaded anything like premieres and award shows - despite how happy she managed to seem on the red carpet.
Violets breath hitched in her throat a little at Sophia’s words. Everything about the way she said it was wrong, as well as the words themselves. I wanted to talk to you. Whenever that phrase or something of the sort was said to Violet, bad news usually followed. Sometimes from Marc, sometimes from Alexis, sometimes even from friends and family believe it or not.
"Oh," she said, deciding not to sound to worried, "Okay sure, let’s walk and talk…Well, we’re already walking - and technically, I’m talking so like - I’ll stop talking but keep walking and you can do both. Yeah, that works. What’s up?"
As the two of them exited the restaurant to the sounds of people recognizing them, or at least recognizing Violet and "the girl from Riots and Diets", Sophia tried to relax. It wasn't the easiest task while walking and trying to manage eating without spilling something all over herself, but she was managing it well enough. When Violet's rambling came to a halt, Sophia had a bite of a sandwich in her mouth, and she chewed it slowly, taking advantage of the few seconds she now had to formulate what to say.
"So uh, what did you think of your letter? You know, those anonymous letters that we all got."

this is what i'm famous for: blonde hair and combat boots
In this month's issue, our popular "This Is What I'm Famous For" segment is centering on Sophia Wildewood, star of the hit coming-of-age-comedy Riots and Diets. Every month we ask a celebrity what they're famous for and write an article about their response. When we asked Sophia what she was famous for, she replied "blonde hair and combat boots", so this month's article on Miss Wilde is all about fashion.
So's Meeting With Marc
"Miss Wildewood. Take a seat."
The words sent a sort of shiver down Sophia's spine as she stood in the doorway of the posh penthouse office. There she stood, in worn out clothes, in front of the man who controlled her career, and she was about to tell him about her latest project. A project that The Fame House, the company who'd so eagerly signed her, didn't know a thing about.
