Toxic || April Self Para
It was a Friday night and April was sitting around at her apartment sulking. Even though she was trying to avoid the party scene anyway there was always something to do on a Friday night like seeing a movie with Daisy, or going out for dinner... or anything else in the entire world actually, but no April Mendler was moping around on her couch with a bag of Doritios in one hand and her tv remote in the other. Tonight was the night her interview with Jimmy Fallon and she wasn't exactly excited to see it finally aired. It was recorded about a week ago just after April received her would you rather Ā but before Wren took to twitter to air all of April's secrets.
When youāre next asked aboutĀ Wren Wilde, say that you like him but you think heās punching above his weight with you looks-wise. or Make sure youāre caught being unforgivably rude to a young fan of yours.
At the time she'd agonized over what to pick, not wanting to hurt Wren or any of her fans. Back when she'd filmed the interview the only way she'd been able to get through it was the fact that she knew Wren would forgive her, ironic seeing as she couldn't forgive him. Not that Wren had really seemed to want herĀ forgiveness or seemed that cut up about it -April got the idea that it was all a game to him and that was probably what had hurt the most. She'd never believed the rumours about Wren being a jerk behind the scenes, but after what he did to her the idea didn't seem so far from the truth anymore.Ā Now after what Wren did to her on twitter sheĀ wasn't as tortured over her decision to diss him on national television. Key word being 'as'. No matter what Wren did to her and how much it hurt her she couldn't help the apart of her that still liked him and his ridiculous puns. It was stupid and she hated herself for it but she just couldn't get over him at least not completely. Not even her weekend away in New York could get her mind off all the drama back in LA.Ā
April's publicist had put aĀ halt on the interview as soon as Wren's tweet surfaced and the whole world's heart broke over 'Apren's' very public 'break up'.Ā Not that that's what April would have called it seeing as they weren't even dating -but it devastated the world no matter what they were. After her pr team decided that April's comment about Wren could be used as some kind of public retaliation and add fuel to the fire -there wasn't really anything April could do to stop it. After all she had said it, so she felt like she kind of deserved all of this. Ā Despite herself she didn't want to hurt Wren with all this, she wasn't sure itf it would even affect him seeing as the whole time they were hanging out she wasn't even sure what was real and what wasn't. Honestly after she'd last messaged him she never really wanted to talk about this again. She just wanted to pretend that they had never been anything else but co-stars and after the current season of All Caught Up ended she'd get her manager to get her out of the show telling everyone that April 'wanted to focus on her film career' and then she'd never really have to see him except for events and such. Which she could handle, she was an actress after all. April cringed back into her sofa as the show's opening music started playing, waiting for her section to play and distracting herself by shoving handfuls of chips into her mouth. So this was emotional eating. Her interview had been edited and cut to make her sound as mean and bitchy as possible -which would probably encouraged by her publicist. Nothing like a scorned woman to get more attention and press, she could already tell their shows ratings would be at a all time high after this. When it was all over she switched off the tv and shut her eyes. Okay so the majority of her interview she'd been her fine happy self talking about her upcoming projects and what not. It was only the end where she'd slammed Wren that had been awful to watch, her phone was already going off with all the twitter notifications she was getting. She desperately wanted to apologize to Wren and she even went so far as to type the message her thumb hovering above the send button, but she couldn't bring herself to do it, slowly back spacing the message letter by letter.
