Only Finnish things: carry 20 kilos of ✨special stones✨ across the city, because your sweating room at home isn't making you sweat optimally.
Okay, I admit most Finns would use a car for this endeavour. But since I don't have a car, I'm carrying them in my backpack and taking the metro.
Ja sama suomeksi: kävin ostamassa uudet kiuaskivet.
Next: the special stones get a little bath to make sure they're clean.
Then, the stones are sorted by size.
And finally, you lay the stones in the kiuas. The bigger ones go towards the bottom, and smaller ones on the top. The idea is to lay them quite airily at the bottom, allowing hot air to travel up, and more densely at the top.
(Your heating elements should not be bent like that, whoever had lived here previously had packed the stones too tight).
When the heating elements are covered, you're good to go and enjoy!
Yksi, kaksi, kolme
