For those of you claiming to be his friend, allow me to advise you of something that you may wish to take to heart: that’s not being a friend. That’s unkind.

He is a really great friend to people. He has given people money even when it wasn’t really in our budget because he feels that other people should not have to struggle. He likes to check in on people just to ask them how they’re doing, even when his depression was so bad it brought him down into his shell. And this is the return for his loving-kindness: nothing.

IRLJ didn’t do those things to be paid back. He does them because he’s a good guy with a big heart. He believes in paying it forward. 

Your lack of reaction to his disappearance is disheartening to say the least.

My heart hurts for him, because I do get to see what a great man he is, and now he likely accepts this as just more confirmation that people are only interested in him for what they can get out of him. When shit like this happens, well, it makes it a fuck of a lot harder to state my case and help him realize just how important he is and that he does have worth.
