Sadly I just think it’s normal here in this fandom to hate on the women 😔 Lizzie X Tommy shippers receive a lot of backlash and Lizzie is hated a lot. Overly a lot I would say. Was tommy and Lizzie toxic? Yes but people still love them and I think that’s perfectly alright. There’s no need to call people names or accuse them of loving abusive relationships like I have seen at times which is ridiculous. Insulting people over fictional characters is insane! I shipped Tommy and Lizzie up until s5 and from there I just hoped Tommy would be nicer or they would seperate. I love Lizzie but after s5 I wasn’t a shipper anymore. Tommy wasn’t forced to marry Lizzie, he chose to do so, he could have chose to be a good husband even if he didn’t love her in an intimate way. Tommy loved Lizzie but it was a love he has for other family members. A lot of lizzie’s anger is a reflection of Tommy’s behaviour so of course she was going to say hurtful things at times and I don’t blame her.

In this fandom there’s a lot of brushing over what the men do but when it comes to the women they are picked apart and ridiculed. In s2 Tommy emptied Arthur’s gun and gave Arthur a bullet to use on himself and in s6 Lizzie gives tommy some bullets but Lizzie doing it makes her so evil and unforgivable but no one brings up the fact tommy did it to Arthur.

Natasha O'Keefe was doing Wheel of Time as Lanfear and it wasn't until like may of this year that it was announced the show was cancelled; the cast thought they were locked in for 8 seasons.

I think it would have been too much of a scheduling conflict for her to try and do both. I do hope Lizzie is able to find peace and happiness post show- whether that be getting back with Tommy if he proves himself [Natasha O'Keefe did say Lizzie loves Tommy very deeply and was always hoping it would work out, even in her last moments onscreen she seemed to be waiting for Tommy to show he gave a damn---but as he thought he was dying he had to let her go]

or Lizzie might find someone new to love, someone who won't be tortured or killed for daring to be with her. I don't know if she will love anyone as much as she loved Tommy, but she deserves love

There are so many peaky blinders fanfics. Tommy/lizzie, Tommy/oc, Tommy/Grace, Tommy/May, Tommy/Alfie and so on. All related to things that didn’t happen. Grace surviving or not getting shot at all… didn’t happen. Tommy loving Lizzie as more than family….didn’t happen. Tommy/Aflie….didn’t happen. Tommy marrying May… didn’t happen. Tommy/oc….didn’t happen.

So no one should be being nasty towards any fanfiction made because every ship writes false narratives and narratives they wish they had seen. It’s expression. It’s not taking anything away from the show or how people view it.

Why are people making comments about ‘I read this fanfic about this ship and I couldn’t believe the audacity of the writer or how delusional they were……’

Why is anyone seeking out fanfics of ships they hate? I’m not looking up Tommy/Grace fanfics and making fun of them because first it’s so rude and second it’s not my part of the fandom. I’m not a Tommy/Grace shipper or Tommy/May shipper so why would I go out my way to read stories I wouldn’t enjoy?

I don’t understand this constant hate or need to keep up ship wars. Who cares?! Like who you like. These characters are not real people but the people making posts and writing fanfic you’re calling delusional, toxic, stupid and wrong are real people
