Introduction

Heyo heyo, this is just a small secret lil whump blog I have. Seeing scenes of characters getting beaten and/or almost dying has always itched my brain for some reason. It’s always been a guilty pleasure of mine, and I’m just now learning that there’s an actual genre for it. I’m new to Tumblr, so I’m trying to learn how to use it.

Whumpee who is so mentally unwell they start giving in to their intrusive thoughts and start doing impulsive, random, strange and, of course, harmful things. Because it's gotten to the point that they stopped caring about it.

Sleeping in the bathtub full of water, clothed, and with a blanket;

Burying knives anywhere but in the chopping block. In the walls, on the ceiling...;

Trying to get a plate from the cabinet and pretending they didn't see that it was about to fall to the ground;

Banging their head or their fists against the wall in a constant, morbid pattern;

Having less sense of space and, sometimes accidentally, sometimes not, bumping onto things;

Unplugging and plugging electronics again and again;

Things that go against basic survivability: crossing the street without looking two ways, using the washing machine while it's plugged in and while barefoot when the floor's wet — also includes turning the shower on and off repeatedly while barefoot —, keep standing up even when they know they're about to pass out...

Imagining a sick character coming up to their friend/partner and, rather than announcing that they're sick, simply leaning against them like a cat. Cue the other's exclamation of "wow, you feel warm," and the sickie mumbling "I know" into their shoulder. Bonus points if they're not usually this touchy feely.

big fan of when a character is dead and the narrative frames them in a very angelic, soft, gentle manner but then it turns out not only are they still alive (plot twist) but theyre alive in the most gruesome and horrific way. your loving kind mentor who motivates you to fight in their memory came back wrong and theres blood and dirt under their fingernails from clawing they way out of the grave.

Whumpee who has never been treated good. Whumpee who accepts worse than the bare minimum. Whumpee who's in a relationship with caretaker, and absentmindedly asks caretaker to stop doing something. Whumpee who freezes up after asking because they expect caretaker to be just like the rest.

Whumpee who's baffled when caretaker neither ignores them, nor yells. Caretaker who immediately stops because they don't want to make whumpee uncomfortable. Whumpee who acts like caretaker is a godsend, and caretaker visibly concerned because all they did was respect their lovers boundaries.

( Bonus points if whumpee starts overexplaining themself because they've had to fight to be understood their whole life, and caretaker just nods along with a bittersweet expression. )

Is this anything? Also apologies for being inactive for a few days, writers block is so bad I can hardly even think of prompts.

"I know whumper was a terrible person, but they were right; my hair looks better like this."

Refusing to let anyone see them when they're sick or sad, too self conscious of their eye bags and greasy hair and palid skin. Always apologizing and self deprecating about how they look.

it takes so long for whumpee to get ready. Something that suppose to take 10 minutes takes 20 to 30 minutes due to the fact theyre trying to sure they look "bearable". They ask caretaker constantly: "Is this okay? Does this make me look stupid? Do I look fat in this?", because no one wants to look at the "eyesore" they already are, as whumper labeled them.

hmmm i was listening to "All I Need are Things That I Like" by Pinocchio-P (great song btw i love love love love LOOVVEE vocaloid) and now I cant help but think about a whumpee where trying new things and stepping out of their comfort zone genuinely horrifies them. They've thrown away such important friendships and passions just because there was a problem in the way of some sort. They've completely given up on trying to get better because being depressed feels so much more comfortable and familiar. One lyric I love thinking about especially in the song is "I had promised to meet a friend today. But because it was raining, I decided to not go. I wonder if anything good would've happened if I still went anyway." (time stamp- 3:07-3:21) I ESPECIALLLYYYYYY LOVEEEE thinking about that in a specific scenario where whumpee had the opportunity to get better with a friend (prob caretaker) but even going outside scares them.

The concept of whumpees mind and body falling apart due to an overindulgence of alcohol, drugs, ect is so fascinating as much as it is tragic.

Do not forget that discord is still planning on moving forward with age verification and has only "delayed it" until "the later half of 2026."
