As each day passes by, I realize I no longer can expect others to help me out especially when I'm sick or in need. Last night, Carter ate something wrong and threw up all night. It was just heart wrenching, there wasn't much I could do while he's crying trying to gain his sense of self back. I just wanted to take all his pain away. Ever since the boys made an appearance into this world, my relationship with my husband definitely drifted. That chemistry and that emotional connection just vanished or went into hibernation. We argue over everything. It just hasn't been the easiest these past two years. I understand that he works extremely hard at work so he is able to provide us with the beautiful house we live in, food, clothes and all the other necessities but does that give him the rights to take his frustrations out on our boys? I constantly remind him to talk to Carter nicer, ask him to spend more time with him. I don't feel like that is my job to remind him to do that. His negative actions towards his sons is definitely a turn off and I rather have him just not be around if this continues. I've talked to him about my feelings more than a handful of time, he apologizes every single time but nothing changes. What else am I supposed to do to make him realize his actions are hurtful and can emotionally damage our boys. Kids make messes, they break things, they rebel, that is their nature, he doesn't get that. He mentioned to me the other day when Carter had a melt down at Old Navy that I should have raised him better so he's always right next to me and not running around like a headless chicken. I am not a helicopter mom. As long as no one gets hurt or nothing gets damaged, I will let my two year toddler explore. Monday, I sent him a text asking him to take some time for himself and figure out what exactly is going on with him that makes him treat his family so illy. I'm praying that he figures something out because at this point I really can't picture us moving forward till this is fixed.
