Our baby girl is one year old!
I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown and it’s only when we put together a slideshow of pictures from the whole year in sequence that I realised how different she now is. I just know I’m going to blink and she will be 18.
I have worked really hard this year at treasuring and being present in every moment, even the difficult ones, because everyone told me how time would fly and I’m glad I listened!
We had a little party with some close friends and family and I had so much fun decorating the house and preparing everything. I made a lot of food so we will be eating leftovers for a few days I think, but I was having way too much fun not to over-cater a little! I made a vegan chocolate cake so I could have some myself as I’m dairy free. It was yummy!
I also made a ‘fruit cake’ so the birthday girl could enjoy some as well- the advice is not to give refined sugar or chocolate until after two years so I figured I would make her a cake out of her favourite thing (fruit) and she wouldn’t know any different anyway 🤷🏻♀️
