The Seasonal Courts

I saw some posts going around about Prythian fashion and thought it would be fun to assign each of the seasonal courts a historical period! (very european tho, which i am realising the irony of as a woc, so... sorry🙃)

I've assigned Summer the Pre-Raphaelite period, which is not a historical era per say but an art movement. The way that fabric is layered and allowed to hang off of the body in amazing folds and drapes is very Summer-esque.

The Autumn Court is Tudor all the way. The heavy fabrics, the severe, tightly structured bodices, *chef's kiss*. This is not helped by my hc of Olivia Cooke's Alicent Hightower as the LoA who wears similarly structured garments.

Winter is 18th century. It just works?? I think that it goes really well with Winter, which is cold and dangerous, yes, but also beautiful and dainty. So again, you get the structured bodices, but also the pleated skirts and romantic silhouette. Balance.
