Does anyone else out there have an unexplainable hatred for SCP-105? I literally have no idea why I hate her so much I just do. Every time I see a skip or a tale with her in it I am just immediately put off by it and lose any interest that I might have had in it beforehand. I just find her so boring/basic and I think she is overhyped to the end of the world and back.
Maybe I’ll try to force myself into reading more of her to see if I can get a new appreciation for her character.

Today I was showing my mum some funny pics I found on Pinterest while she was on her phone. After a while it got obvious that she was getting a little bored and was trying to watch a video, so she asked me to stop. I stopped and looked at some myself and I saw one that I thought was so funny that I started laughing and I swallowed my saliva the wrong way and went into a coughing fit. Despite the fact that I was doubled over and coughing as much as I could, my mum (who was sitting right next to me), must have thought was still laughing cuz she just went “don’t show me anymore at the moment, I’m watching this video.”

Nigel Farage is the leader of Reform UK, a far right party who are currently in the process of a serious bid to become the UK government. they are just straight up evil.
Count Binface is an intergalactic space warrior with a bin on his head. he likes to run as a novelty candidate in general and mayoral elections. a big thing he likes to do is run as a candidate against the incumbent prime minister:

Anyway, in brief:
Nigel Farage is currently in the midst of a big scandal about his finances
He has decided to deal with this by 1) making a show of nobly resigning from parliament and then 2) immediately running in the resulting by-election
He has stated that he is letting 'the people' judge his actions and implied that if he wins that will prove that he has been exonerated in the court of public opinion
His goal was presumably to get a big resounding win over the other parties, proving that The People still love him.
the other parties have thus far decided that this is a 'vanity election' and, well, there is one very easy way to ensure that he will not beat any of them, and that is simply not to play.
and as a result the only person who has so far confirmed they are running against him is Count Binface. no matter the outcome this makes Nigel Farage look like, u know, a fucking clown.
So what happens if Count Binface actually wins? Does he join Parliament? Does he have to take the bin off his face?
I've seen some people saying he would have to give up his title but it would seem that is no longer the case as of 1999; so, no, he can keep his ceremonial bin if he wishes.
Important to note also that Count Binface is the alter ego of comedian & political satirist Jon Harvey who seems to be an intelligent individual with reasonable politics. As I said no real downside.
The no hats rule clearly does not apply to him. He is not wearing a hat. It's a bin.
Experts* have determined that if elected, in theory he would have to remove the bin in order to participate in parliamentary votes.

Anyone got any good tales of 166 that give her personality and depth because I’m sorry, she feels like such a plain and boring character to me 😭 from every tale I’ve read that features her thus far she has barely any personality and her entire character is just being “Clef’s daughter” and nothing else.
I’m not saying that she is like that in every tale/depiction of course, but it is from ALL of the ones that I’ve seen.

I feel like I might get hated for this, but why is 166 x 105 so popular?? That ship feels so basic and uninteresting to me.
Of course y’all can love and enjoy what you want, but is there something I’m missing? I’ve read the tales on the wiki that feature them as a couple and there is like no chemistry between them, to me at least.
It might have to do with my unexplainable and weird hatred for SCP-105 and my major indifference and lack of care for 166. I think maybe since both characters are extremely vanilla to me that I find the ship to be extremely vanilla as well
