also, let's be real i think if they were in danger nya would save kai over lloyd and vice versa. they really do love lloyd but the love they have for each other is just so strong, and they're literally BIOLOGICAL siblings blood is thicker than water i'm sorry.

personally MY duo in the RGB trio is Nya and Lloyd. maybe it's partly because Kai doesn't interest me as much as the other two (he's still peak though), but the GB friendship is SO precious to me. i know the popular headcanon is that lloyd considers kai his best friend but I think it's Nya. after what they went through together in hunted, the way they understood one another's pain in a way none of the other members of the resistance did; after that experience I think they developed a bond that Lloyd doesn't have with any of the other ninja. i have a headcanon that Lloyd once had a small ONE-SIDED crush on her but grew out of it.

One would think working with pre-existing ice would be easier than creating it but Zane finds reshaping or moving it to be much harder. It's easier to create new ice, to make it with the shape and direction he had in mind rather than force what already is to be something different.

Nya finds it easier when she has to will the water to move than to stay. Bringing up a tidal wave is a piece of cake. Holding that wave in place, in a position it is not meant to be in, forcing it into stagnancy no matter how temporary is harder.

For Jay working with already-present electricity is tricky. Most modern technology uses AC or DC but lightning is neither. If he needs to power something, he needs to function as both a source and a rectifier.
