I don't know how, they'll come up with a scheme, I believe in those two, but Two Face and Penguin absolutely should trademark Batman as a brand just for the sake of pissing him off. I'm absolutely sure that there's a shit ton of bootleg batmerchandise in Gotham, they'll figure it out. But like, what would Batman even do? Sue them? Well, perhaps he should provide his legal name to the court first, otherwise for all I care he could go by Batmite in the meantime, Man-Bat is already taken.

Honestly, I thought putting a Ukrainian flag in my bio would be helpful enough to scare people like that away, but even directly writing "russians do not interact" doesn't help, apparently.

Yes, I am checking people's profiles sometimes just to make sure that they're from somewhere else, if I have any suspicions. I just don't want to get jumpscared by russian language in my feed. All of my social media are strictly in English/Ukrainian, yet some still somehow manage to slip through. I get that you just want to look at some fanart, but you're not welcome on my blog if you're russian, go look somewhere else if you can't respect my single and only rule on this blog. I woke up with glass shards all around me and a door from another room that collided with mine, almost barricading me inside my bedroom. Every window and door in the apartment was blown out by the explosion. My family's car burned to the crisp. The entrance door of the flat was stuck and people have spent 40 minutes trying to break it open with hammers and axes.

Despite great material damage, miraculously, me and my family wasn't injured. Even my laptop and drawing tablet have somehow survived, despite being left right by the window. And, thankfully, I have another place to go to, where I'll be living full-time from now on.

The only thing I want to tell you guys, remember that Russia is a terrorist state. That night dozens of people have died and even more got injured or lost their every possession. I was lucky to only suffer material losses. Attacks like this one have been happening since 2014 on the east side of Ukraine and for four years now all over the country and will continue. Our UNESCO protected landmarks are being destroyed and whole cities are being wiped out by missiles and drones.

Please, be mindful and avoid supporting russian organisations, and don't spread misinformation about the war. This is very important, because info war is just as much of a real part of the war as physical destruction is. If you have the means to, donate to Ukrainian volunteers. Support those who are dear to you.

But s1 Oswald? Oh, I genuinely can hardly look at him. I don't dislike him as a character, I love him, but he's so uncomfortable to observe, both because of the appearance and erratic behaviour in equal measure. To be honest, I recognise only s4-5 (maybe s3 too to an extent) Penguin. He doesn't look as miserable there anymore and as much as I liked the disco vampire thing, I feel like brushed back hair looks more flattering on him. And he does look less gaunt later on. I feel like youth in general was never this fun, romanticised thing for Oswald, just a straight up rather painful transitional period. So I definitely prefer more mature version of the Penguin. It looks so much better on him.

But on the other hand, the rest of the heroes piss me off way more than Bruce does. I'd gladly take one (1) Batman any day over the whole ass JL or whatever. And like, he's just a part of the scenery at this point. Batman is annoying, but he's our annoying, you know. Alfred though gets my full respect, no complaints here.

Like, in my au I'm pretty sure Oswalda would shower Edith in extravagant gifts and drape her in expensive jewellery on purpose, to make Edith hesitant about voicing any disagreement, especially before she fully comes into her Riddler persona. And Edith would absolutely do Gotham series style love bombing to monopolise Oswalda's personal life and would butter her up for personal gain. They're definitely still toxic as hell and constantly weaponize each other's insecurities, with Oswalda claiming Edith's villainous career as her own achievement and Edith claiming to be the only living person to actually care about Oswalda and put up with her bullshit.

I guess this could be considered an au now? Either way, the first thing that I wanted to change was her body type, because let's be honest with ourselves, the Penguin is not an hourglass lol. So I made her a little stockier. I also added a foot-ankle brace, because I personally like the concept of Penguin actually having an injury/disability which affects his gait.

And I've realised something thinking about Oswalda in caped crusader. She's a drag queen. Like, she could still be a cis woman performer (for example, Lucy Darling), but think about it. It fits so well. I like the idea of Oswalda being both capable of pulling off a femme fatal look and being a butch boss woman.

And while I'm finishing up my previous drawings, I decided to sketch some variations of the Riddler outfits for Edith. I don't know why, but I felt a sudden desire to add blue and I think it kind of works.

Oh, absolutely. Also I love reminding myself that every single piece, even a "failed" one, is practice. It's okay if you didn't do your best this time or if you didn't draw at all for a while. Art should be fun, not daunting.

I have! Back when I was in middle school, I watched silent playthrough of telltale batman games and I was absolutely crazy about it. Even started drawing some small comic or whatever. But I've replayed it myself recently, the first season and half of the second one so far. Turns out, the only version of Bruce that I find compelling is the one where I'm doing the thinking for him (literally handed WE to the Penguin on a silver platter and told Selina to get lost approximately five times. It's a shame we can't romance Two Face)

I definitely think I'd redraw telltale Harley. I hated her so much as a kid, because I was rooting for doomed yaoi, but her fit goes so hard, lol. Love her, an absolutely insufferable queen. I don't think I've ever drawn Bane to begin with, so that would be nice actually. I really enjoy his telltale design. Riddler through should be ashamed at this point with how often I'm drawing him, so yeah, old man Riddler has pretty high chances of happening. But that jacket with a hood... Man, how does one come up with those fashion choices
