It's sharing headcanons hour : I like to headcanon Kaji having a sensitive sense of smell, so they could all match, Hal with his hearing and Baku with whatever he's got going on with his mouth.

Also it's cute since Kaji is obviously puppy coded. Kaji knowing where is Baku and Hal favorite spot on the couch by how strong their smell tend to linger. Like maybe he sits on one of those places when he misses them, very cute to me.

For Hal, it's the classic knowing who's going to enter the room before they even open it just by the sound of their footsteps. Maybe he registered each normal breathing so he knows when something's wrong. He could also have a playlist with some songs dedicated to any of them depending on the bpm, so it could reminded him of their heart beat. (Very very cute)

And Baku could get a sort of synesthesia thing where he associates some taste to one or the other. A cute thing to do is Baku asking for certain dishes to eat together when he's feeling romantic (he'd probably never tell them about this whole stuff though cause he's embarassed (cringe !!!))

#since most usogui content is mainly japanese #I've realised that they sure have the eroguro trigger very easily #but rather “”“common”“” tropes in the western world like cannibalism or vore are almost not used at all #which..surprising I guess #also they seem more scared of sm than eroguro which is insane to me #that's only how I've percieved this though I may be wrong

I'm still not satisfied with how I draw Baku. So I guess I'll have to draw all of them, starting with silly makeup-less debut Baku.

Was talkin' Tiger and Bunny with a friend a while back and I remembered Yohei Kodama's dope ass illustrations for The Rising. Thanks to the holy grail of T&B materials that is @tnbscans I was fortunate enough to find an interview where he talks about his reference pool: The Last Supper, Guernica, and Liberty Leading the People.

In that same interview he talks about his trip to New York shortly after the TV series ended. Not necessarily for location scouting-- he even states Sternbild isn't supposed to be a depiction of the city-- but to further deepen his understanding of crafting a more tangible and lived-in setting for the movie.

There's a lot of talk these days about how artists should seek out other influences beyond the current medium they're working in-- and I'm obviously not gonna knock that down! But these conversations always leave out how real-life experiences can help shape you as well... It doesn't have to be some big grand trip either. Just the smallest of things could lead to a massive breakthrough.
