Because their friendship is so pure and underrated.

They hug each other all the time.

They are the unbeatable duo when it comes to pranks.

Remus brainstorms ideas, James executes them flawlessly.

They prank the shit out of Sirius and Peter on a daily basis.

They hexed Peter so he was able to make nothing but rat sounds for a week.

They bleached Sirius’s hair once. He never forgave them for it.

Usually, their sense of humor is even lamer, though.

Once in the first seventh year, they drew a dick on Sirius’s forehead while he was sleeping and let him walk around like that the whole day.

The mama hen in James activates immediately in the sight of Remus.

So when Sirius and Remus get drunk and both fall asleep in the Common Room, James definitely leaves Sirius to sleep where he is because he’s a little shit and that’s the nature of their brotherly relationship.

But he (like all the Marauders, honestly) has a soft spot just for Remus.

So he wakes him up and leads upstairs, making sure he drinks some water and changes into his pajamas.

Remus keeps James’s feet on the ground when he’s starting to get a bit too overconfident.

Basically James gets r o a s t e d several times a day.

They’re the sympathetic ones. They wept for three hours when one of the school owls died after delivering their letter.

Remus is the kind of shithead who laughs for five minutes when James trips on the stairs.

And who am I kidding, Remus is the reason he fell in the first place.

James adds more food on Remus’s plate when he thinks he’s not looking, because the boy needs some damn nutrition.

But Remus notices he wants to cry every time because he loves his friend so much

“…snacks! What do you mean no? Prongs, I’m fucking hungry! I only had four bars of chocolate.”

Remus is probably James’s biggest fangirl when it comes to Quidditch.

They’re plant moms. Absolute herbology nerds, both of them.

James messes with Remus’s hair just as much as he does with his own.

Remus folds James’s clothes for him because the boy never learned to do it himself, it seems like.

They sometimes go down to the kitchen and bake with the house elves.

They most definitely have a five-minute long secret handshake.

James promised that Remus would be the godfather of his next child.
