hi ! it's the name of my story :]

the concept is basically: magic is real, but the only people who know of and use it on earth are organized criminals. also, math is magic. or more accurately, math can be used to describe a certain sort of magic, and there are other branches which are analogous to chemistry, music, and so on and so on

the main character does math-magic, which involves wormholes, and thus airdrops himself into Situations nonstop. due to other plot contrivances he occasionally has a nonsense phrase or two to go off of whose meaning only reveals itself to him when he's in the thick of it, and one of these phrases is 'walk, dont run! the silver plate.' [it's a baseball plate, if that helps.]
