Even without the romance, Idol I is so much about people helping people who desperately need it and then someone being there for them when they fall. The defence lawyer helped Se-na's father and then she joined his firm and got him out of debt. Se-na saved Chung-Jae and gained someone who looks out for her. Ra-ik saving Se-na who grows up to save him and now he's saving her. The restaurant owner who fed a little kid without any expectation of return. And none of these people did it for gain, but just because they wanted to help.
It's a very heart-warming message about the good that is done coming back to you in unexpected ways and I love that.
