megumi liked to let you play with his shadow creatures sometimes, and he knew the wolves were your favorites. he’d lost count of how many times you’d barked at each other, or raced to try to get the ball first—which had left you with some nasty scrapes—or how many times he’d had to pull your head or another limb out of their mouths.
sometimes he worried they were too aggressive, but they were obedient; they would never hurt you.
in any case, you always had so much fun with them, laughing and running around the yard after them. even when playtime was over, the three of you would just gather together and curl up next to each other tiredly, with you especially taking advantage of the soft fur to get comfortable. he would always smile when he remembered how you’d snore at them when they stole food from your plate, or how you’d whine if fushiguro wouldn’t let them sleep with you.
