Anyways the one on the left is him before he gets arrested, he's not got the best home life (hence why he's even robbing the store in the first place), evident by the scarring- kicked out young and on his own since on the streets if I remember right, might've been a homophobia thing idk it's been a while, so he goes and tries to rob the place with a stolen gun and obviously gets caught because some chick with ZERO self preservation decided instead of sneaking towards a phone or anything, she army crawls very quietly to the dude and goes for under an arm which causes him to stumble and drop the gun, which she yoinks so he doesn't shoot her, and then js fucking wrecks him (which he will NEVER admit he didn't really hate all that much)
One on the right is after he was arrested because yeah, you're gonna have to face consequences for trying to do a crime, no matter how silly your defeat was lil bro- we were very unrealistic w this and made the people he's cellmates with friendly🥀 We hold onto whimsy in these parts
So main thing that sprouted this was after I said that whole thing about what came to my head, was him talking about how funny it'd be when like, other prisoners are talking how they got caught, to pass time, and then this dude just goes dead silent and fibs when his turn came up, eventually his cellmates find out by bribing a cop or guard or smth and bro becomes the squeaky toy of the cellblock which he'd rather die than admit is fun/comforting (I think we acknowledged that some ppl would likely be weirdos abt it, bc.. prison, and decided that his cellmates, since they're all sorta bonded, will literally kill anyone with bad intentions w their friend lmao)
We eventually thought that it'd be funny if the same girl who got him caught started showing up for the visit things and for a while from embarrassment and a hint of resentment bc.. "bro you got me arrested in the most humiliating way", he'd avoid taking the calls for a while, but after a bit, desperate for outside connection (We don't know how long armed robbery sentences are so we defaulted to like.. year or two w probation) he eventually starts talking to her and they're actually getting along, sometimes the girl brings up what happened and teases him abt it in a friendly playful way, and we eventually decided "yk what she's gonna take him in when he gets released bc he doesn't have anywhere else to go", I don't remember if we kept them platonic or not but I think so, and after a while he starts to be more comfortable w being lee and stuff in settings other than getting wrecked by his old cellmates (who he also visits from time to time/calls, bc those are his friends, they kept him safe :3)
If I find his name again I'll throw another ask w his name
