ohhhh shit. target is recalling their up & up baby wipes (fragrance free & fresh cucumber scented) because they're contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, multiple people are reporting discoloration & infections. i just got a call about it cuz i had purchased those but i've already gone through them 😅 so no refund for me. but im fine. if you have these they're saying you need to immediately stop using them and bring them back to target for a full refund. this bacteria can cause life threatening infections in children/infants and people with compromises immune systems (ESPECIALLY cystic fibrosis!!) and i know lots of other chronically ill people follow me!!!!

As a cis/bi/man, feel free to tell me that I am talking out of school here. I will accept that my view is entirely my own. I want to say the following in support of my brothers. My brothers in this case being trans men. Trans men are men individually, just like I am as a cis man individually. Trans men are not (yet) seen as men collectively by society. As a class, trans men are not given cis male privilege. This is why I will accept them as men, as my individual conscience will tell me to always validate a person's gender identity, while they still will not have male privilege socially. Society does not follow the mores and ethics that I have, unfortunately.

I just don't understand how this is so difficult to grasp, and so easy to invalidate. Trans men are men. That is their individual truth. That has yet to be anything close to a societal truth, which is where privilege comes from.

happy birthday to dan howell, who makes me feel appreciated and safe to express my queerness when i can’t afford to in real life, who reminds me time will pass and so will the hardships if i keep trying to overcome them, who created an entire space and community to be what he needed when he was a closeted baby gay that could only see pride as something terrifying, who had the bravery of putting out his rawest most darkest thoughts and fears in the world in the hopes of helping those going through the same, who kept being kind and loving even after going through so much hatred and fear, who had the courage to keep existing, who’s here and queer albeit the existential fear, who shows me life can become beautiful and colorful and worth living even if it takes time and even if i think this time will never come, who is now able to fully entirely live authentically with his best friend and partner for life.
